Please let me be the first to say a huge 'thank you' to Bob for organising today. It was also lovely to put some faces to some of the usernames on here.

It was a great day and the weather held until the very, very end. Most people had already left Snetterton but the first drops of rain started to fall just as I left the track.

I had a great time and a great couple of sessions with one of the instructors, Michael. Looking forward to the next one. (Did someone say 'Brands'?) smile

I'm sure that there will be plenty more photos but here's a little taster:

Top day Bob, Thanks so much for organising yet again.

I am sure the finances will all be sorted once everyone has put their hands in their pockets yes

Did someone mention Donington driving

How about the rolling Cheshire hills and Oulton. Just a 'quick' blast up the M6 but given that I haven't bought my steed yet I should probably shut up.

Fantastic day Bob!!

My first time on a track and it was absolutely superb.

Instructor was informative and a great help.

Weather was perfect also. Late September in beautiful part of England.

All very very easy for us Bob.
Thank you so much for organising it.

I hope you had as good a time as well! Enjoy a lovely evening, well deserved rest for you I hope.

Mike

PS. Not having done a track event, is it normal for carbon ceramic brakes to smoulder and smoke (quite a lot)?

Just asking...

When I set off today I fully expected to have a thrash round this morning followed by lunch and then a leisurely drive home afterwards so I could be back in time for the kids coming home. As it turns out I left at 4:50 because it was yet another awesome day put on by Bob. 2 tanks of juice and a bit less rubber is simply immaterial when you factor in the fun we had. Bob, a zillion thank you's bow

Dijon-Prenois. Very cheap to hire, and an ex F1 track. Awesome!! Means a drive into France, and accomodation, but its an epic circuit.

Lol I think that was me - the brakes had boiled up and the pedal went to the floor - just after that long straight was very scary! The instructor looked a little pale after!
