Chaps,

After seeing the photos of Rockinghm, my co-directors would love to do this day. They own a DBS Volante and a V12V between them. They're not on the forum although they have provided me with "Handles" to get them up an running, so thought I'd run it past you lot first as I'll be taking another two spaces.

Hope this is OK.

L.D
Fine with me... Then again, I'm not organising it and I already have my name down biggrin.
It could be an incentive for others to get involved, plenty places still available.

I'll give it a couple of hours or so, then sling the names down.

L.D. Do you think we should give priority to forum members? I'm not 'in charge' just a willing member, so advice on this point welcome. smile

Bob you are in charge and rightly so. Rockingham was 100% perfect. I was amused by the fact that you managed to get the bank of rain to miss us as well. clap
I am right in thinking that Snetterton is Aston Martin attendance only ? wink
Was Donington considered as well? Years ago I used to take prospective BMW customers there. I remember the circuit being quite demanding.

I'm sure we all imagine/prefer Snetterton to be Aston Martin cars only,,,why do you ask Rob?

L.D. has asked if its ok for two of his work colleagues that both own Asting Martings, that are not forum members but could be, if they could join us at Snetterton. I am repeating the question here; Do we agree they can join us or do we give our existing members (26 of whom went to Rockingham) the chance to sign up again first? confused

PS: Rob, I did speak to Donington first but they had nothing available this time. I'm sure we'll get there in the future. wink

Hi Bob,

See no reason why Greg's colleagues can't come along. What was brilliant about Rockingham was how it was self policing. Every time I watched there were no more than 5 or 6 cars on track. I hasten to add I wasn't there for the final hour, was it chaos? If Snetterton is longer then I suspect you could get 35 along with no worries.

Personally I think it should be AM only.

All IMHO smile

It wasn't chaos but when people get tired and lose concentration (and take the TC off) all sorts of things can go wrong...

They drive an Aston so would get my vote....Just because they are not forum members shouldn't negate them from being eligible to turn up. If we get to 30 quickly then I think the track could take 35 without it seeming crowded. (It is 3 miles long after all). I just hope the Rockingham instructors come up with a good quote as I feel it would be good to get the same people back who know us and could progress their driving instruction from where they left off last time).

L.D. I feel as others here have commented, that we can welcome both your Aston owning friends along to Snetterton. However, from an admin standpoint, it would make it easier if they would kindly sign up onto the forum, introduce themselves and for the sake of my workload, keep up with events by following the thread,,,,they may even feel inclined to contribute, which would be a good thing for everyone. thumbup

I've had confirmation from the Rockingham instructors that they are willing to attend Snetterton @ £225 per instructor, so matching the rates offered by Snetterton,,,thoughts gentlemen please.

Two points Bob.

1. It would be great to use the same guys as before as I said earlier. They could pick up from where we left off last time and to be honest I think we all got on pretty well with them. I attended the 'Classroom Lesson' after lunch where the principal instructor gave some good pointers to first time track drivers which certainly gave my good lady the confidence to go out with an instructor (First time she had ever driven the car) and have a dozen enjoyable laps.

2. There is a danger of upsetting the local track instructors which may/could cause some bad feeling before we even get there. (Unless of course Snetterton also uses 'Freelance teams' in which case it shouldn't make any difference to the track owners who we use).
