Aston Martin - Welsh Weekender -27th/28th June
Discussion
Well what a great bunch of people you Astoneers are. Complete route and organisation perfection molly. Wales really does have some beautiful fast smooth bends. Even persuading Justin the hotel owner come out to play in his M coupe, as if he needed to be persuaded.
Cow and dinosaurs were included.
...and then to round things off a re-run to the pub earlier today, wow. Must stop eating an drinking now.
Rob you're star, just being rob. Andy take no offence, you just happened to be in his vision line.
"Everything else is just waiting".

No offence was taken I would have paid good money for the show he's a legend lol!
Renewed focus on work tomorrow, after seeing your Stuttgart Rocket all weekend it hasn't helped my RS itch so now I need a bigger house with a bigger garage I'm thinking £1,000,000 should get me where I need to be

[quote=MollyGTi]Thank you all so much for the sill plaques - whoever came up with that idea is a star!
Thank you also to BR for use of the logo and to Tony Hall for producing the plaques. Actually Mr H - you were mentioned before we got these as there was a Tony Hall 'T*sser* award (to Pete675) as we drove past a fuel station with no sign of him leaving ..
Good to know I was missed and mentioned in dispatches.....glad everyone had a good time...no casualties which us always good...

If carlsberg did weekends away ....... they still wouldn't be as good as this one has been!
Thanks for the warm welcome, guys, all very much appreciated.
Currently sifting through the gopro footage, think I've got about 4 hours total footage from both cameras.
I'll try and get an interesting bit edited out and post it in a few days.
In the meantime, here's the scariest thing we saw all weekend (other than Rob)

After losing Molly (who was being coached by still drunk Rob on her driving skills) Getoff, GDC and I went on a little bonus outing this morning (Molly covertly going undercover down a small slip road on the way up the mountain), we toddled along enjoying the view - when the next thing I knew my glove box exploded downwards bits everywhere... Startling my wife who shrieked, with me trying to block out the serious distraction and keep my concentration (on the beautiful view, of course!)
Molly THANK YOU very much for a Goliath weekend. Frances and I made some great friends, thanks to you all, for making such a great atmosphere.
Some moments of note:
Jeff saved the lives of a ewe and her lamb, Rob saved the life of yet ANOTHER cow! Fearless and heroic people!! I now want to tender to all, a new nickname for Rob: "Captain Udders". (For many reasons, mostly to do with his loooove for ladies breasts, but really because of his secret attraction to cows).
- Much laughter
- Viagra
- Awards
- great breakfast and hotel (many thanks Justin, what a great guy, also an asset to our group)
- chickens (supposed to be "chippings" on the walkietalkies (lose stones)
- Pete going the wrong way (us all waving as we passed him)
- Mike in his pride of joy Virage
- Andy and Jo announcing they were giving up driving their Porsche GT3 and had succumb to the charms of purchasing an AM in the near future - hurray!!!
- much much more...
Glovebox catch repaired already . Teaspoon fully cleaned inside and out, in her PJ's ready for bed (car cover, not my bed).
"Over and Out, Roger Wilko" (walkietalkie speak)

To Molly and Rob, thanks for a fantastic weekend. Brilliantly organised, very memorable and, as fabulous as the cars are, the people were even better!
As a bonus, the Random Route Generator (SatNav) gave me a great drive back through some great roads on the way towards the M4 this morning.
Look forward to seeing you all in the not too distant future.
These two pics taken half a nanosecond apart sum up the driving experience for me...

It's all been said, but I'll repeat it anyway.
WHAT a weekend!! Great roads, fantastic cars and the people were OK too . And some very accomplished drivers
Thank you Molly for organising (the last time... ...again!) and Rob for entertaining. Here's a pic of MrGT in his element.
The glass was full when I went to grab my phone...
Had a great drive back and put the new addition to the family to bed happy.

Having trouble coming back down to earth today, particularly after being lead driver yesterday of the Sunday Six Mini Tour.
Anyone want to offer me a job? .. preferably involving cars and organising .. lord knows I'm wasted on the one I've got
Some more photos/videos would cheer me up if anyone has any to share from the weekend

Jon - you are right. If you've got any from this setting that show how far from the fence rail and how far into the middle of the road you all parked feel free to post them up - absolute shambles, disgraceful behaviour Bet we had more fun tho'
The white line in front of AndyBrew's front wheel is actually the centre of the road line, not the edge of the road Everyone was just too hyped and excited to worry about stuff like parking straight
