Went to the dealership today and placed my order on a new 2015 Vantage GT. I hear delivery may be in about 3 months or more but I will be part of the first allocation of cars built.

Now I have to go and sell my '07 Vantage. frown

Congrats, I had to google it as its only available stateside.

All of the pics I could see were the dark green with yellow pillars, what colours did you go for, the car looks pretty racey so Im guessing something bold!

Is it more focussed than the n430?

Yes, green, but without the yellow a-pillars or the white GT stripe. It's the US equivalent of an N430 which is to say about the same as a V8VS

Karl, We knew each other from the Lotus Esprit Registry I (tried to) started.

I'm looking for a nice Vantage, if youre serious about selling yours could you email pics and details of the car? zvezdah1@knology.net

Congrats on the GT!

Thanks!

There is a comprehensive listing of the standard spec of the Vantage GT here

http://astonmartins.com/car/v8-vantage-gt/

The concept is the same as the N430 - a lot of car for a little money - but the GT does not get the lightweight seats (at all) or carbon interior trim (other than cost option). But it does get sat-nav and an odd white side stripe - thankfully a delete option.

The N430 does get carbon interior as standard, lightweight seats - but sat-nav is optional - and the side stripe is not available.

You may like the lipstick and painted cantrails - but those are a cost option - nice but not cheap

FWIW: you have never been able to get the lightweight seats in the US because the don't have side airbags. That is probably the reason they differ from the N430 spec.

^^^^^ And that list doesn't even show the entire section titled Interior Functional which includes things such as Premium or B&O sound system, memory seats, heated seats, satellite radio, GT Technology pack, alarm volumetric upgrade, etc.

Additionally, we came across some other options that didn't even have prices associated with them. The most notable of these were genuine carbon fiber exhaust tips originally developed for the one-77. I'd hate to know how much those babies would cost although I must say they looked seriously cool in the picture we saw.

The interesting thing about that last page is that satellite radio is listed as standard but then mentioned again as part of the GT Technology Pack. We couldn't figure that out and the dealership is trying to get Aston to explain it.

Is it possibly lifetime activation of the sat radio, as opposed to the inclusion of the sat radio unit as 'standard'?

You can change your car's lipstick as often as a woman changes hers...

Use different color wraps...inexpensive and flexibility
