Having not seen a Morning Frost car what is the opinion of owners on this paint? has it got a deep shine as some pearl paints seem a little dull close up. TIA.

Deep shine, which looks lots of different colours depending on the light.

In poor light it tends to look ever so slightly cream compared to a pure white car, but in the sunshine it looks more pure white and depending upon the angle you catch it at it can shimmer with hints of blue, green or pink.

Quite striking in the flesh, but you have to see it to make up your own mind really.

+1, couldn't have put it better myself. Sunlight transforms it.

Lightweights were a must for me, think they look great - especially the thinness from the side. Did a 500 mile day back from LM Classic last week in the day and really comfortable though they can feel a little tight across the back just below shoulder level.

I think it's an amazing colour!

Andrew's (Retman) car looked fantastic on the Welsh Weekender. I parked behind him, deliberately, on the first night with my Carbon Edition and I thought his was, by far, the pick of the pair. Great spec also, with the lightweight seats.

Sorry fella, didn't actually get a decent picture of the pair of them side by side. I'm sure someone could get something at Burghley, though.

Some interesting pricing as well. Two black V12V's with 4.5k miles and similar spec. £99k compared with £105k.

A strange market. Couldn't sell mine for £5-6K less than the cheapest of those is on at. Had over 2,500 views on Autotrader and nothing. I get the feeling that people will only buy these cars from a dealer and want to pay the premium for peace of mind.

I bought mine from a ford dealer of all places.
But I understand what you mean.
Thing that swayed me to buy it was I insisted it went to Aston for a full warranty check before I parted with my cash.
Once that was done and it had the Aston warranty I was more than happy to buy it.
Maybe that's the thing. If you want to sell privately get an aston warranty on it.

I wonder if this is partly because a high percentage of buyers of £100k cars use finance and whilst there's no reason not to use a finance company to buy privately, I imagine it's perceived by buyers as being far more difficult ?

But I'm sure you're right, much of it is surely about peace of mind. Interestingly (to me !) I would perceive the vast majority of non-Aston specialist dealers to be closer to a private seller than an Aston specialist dealer when it comes to peace of mind, on the basis an Aston specialist knows what issues specific to the model to look for before sale and then how to deal with post-sale if there were niggles

My logic is definitely flawed, if for no other reason than you can get an in-warranty aston with problems repaired at any aston garage you wish, regardless of where you bought it but as you say, it is a peace of mind premium

But woollies car has AM warranty . Also I do not think these later cars move so quickly, but we will see.

Yup, two years factory warranty. Anyway, better keep quiet now as I got told off for indirectly advertising my car in another thread!

Which is where all this seemed to start - if I understand the timeline controlz wanting to buy private, passed over a car and then bought it for more from a dealer.

Congrats and welcome to the MFW V12V club smile

Looking back through your postings that's quite a few exotic cars you have been buying / looking to buy over the last week or so! A Gallardo, Murcielago, 991 GT2 and a V12V!

Was it just the GT2 and V12V you bought or the whole set in the end?
