Dear Members,
Last week one of the hydraulic hoses from the roof system was broken and I replaced it. But the roof is not working and i see the codes "Roof Movement Paused" and "Roof Failure Detected" on my dash.
Is there someone who has experiences/knowlegde who can give me directions how to solve this? Some questions pops up:
-Is there a calibration process to be done and how is the procedure?
-I filled the oil reservoir: Is there a min/max level? I could not find one.
-Is there a procedure to get the air out of the hydraulic system? or is that automatically done by the system?

I look forward to input from you, thank you in advance

Sybrand,

The first thing you will have to do is reset both windows.
Lower each window one at a time and hold the button with the window fully lowered until you hear a small "ping" noise, then raise the window and again hold the button with the window fully raised until you hear another "ping" noise.
Do the same for opposite window and this resets the memory on each window.

Not if you wind the windows down first
From my experience of failed roofs the best thing to do it manually secure it closed, then do a battery reset.
(this does then need window, seat and infotainment systems recalibrating/setting up)

As promised i would come back to share the result. I choose for the full process with the disconnected battery.
It went super! My roof works perfectly without any failure codes. I am very happy to use the roof were it is built for....open! Enjoying the nice Dutch weather but especially the AM sound!

Thanks guys for your support. I really appreciate this.

Best regards

Hi

I have the same problem with a "roof failure" in the closed position!!

Would you please confirm how the battery is "reset" is this just a case of disconnecting for 30 seconds?

thanks and will try the window reset this evening....

may save me some cash as the main dealer is £150 per hour.....

thanks

Battery reset
tip the drivers seat forward and pull up the base of the shelf
Disconnect the negative terminal (black)
just after you disconnect it put the hazards "on" to drain any residual voltage
Leave for 5 mins
Reconnect
Do window learns
Then try roof
(make sure the battery is well charged!)
