As its so quiet around here at the moment I thought you wouldn't mind if we share some photos from our recent trip.

It's open season on caption competitions so feel free to make up your own. The best one gets a kiss from me or from Rob, depending on your preference, at Burghley on Sunday wink

Heaven knows what Mr Inappropriate had said on this occasion - I was there & I can't remember!:

End of Part One - Part Two follows soon ….

I hope Rob will have those legs covered up on Sunday - they look like a couple of pipe cleaners (DB9 in jokesmile )

If any of you are thinking of embarking on an Alpine Tour "Just do It". The scenery, the places, the people, the roads which are blissfully quiet all make up what will certainly be some of your happiest times in your Aston. Pearl has thundered up and down mountain passes, cruised through delightful little villages, blasted along "D " roads and made our holiday so special. Everywhere we go people smile and wave, I love being so popular. Even the very tasty Austrian policewoman who stopped me for speeding could not resist my abundant charm and fined me the very minimum amount she could ! The things you can get away with if you are in your prime driving an Aston Martin I believe are limitless.

Anyway humour has returned to the forum. biggrin

Sorry Neil, we muller the bikes going up the the passes. The ones to watch out for are the big 1200 GS BMW's . The sports bikes just cannot get around the hairpins, whereas the big Beemers with their wide handlebars just seem to, accompanied with big balls and great ability. At the top of the Col Du Bonnet we met some bikers, amongst them was a star ! He was English with his Missus on the back. He had totally blown the locals. What a totally fabulous place to meet! I reckon that we could see for miles and miles. What a fantastic day. smokinsmokinsmokin

Awesome pictures guyssmile
I am getting so excited for our Friday departure to the Alps. Changed my Pirelli Trofeo R's over to some P Zeros - in case of snowsmile

Question, just preparing my bits and pieces to take, do we have a car jack with the Vantage? I can't remember seeing one?

Of course not, there is no spare wheel.

Drrrr, yes quite right. Actually, just found out there is a pump and some "concrete foam" that we are supposed to use as temporary inflator for a punctured tyre frown That is good for nothing as it writes-off your tyre if you deploy... I have just purchased two aerosols of foam tyre fill which can be removed after deployment to save the tyre!
