After having sold my V8 it was always the intention to end up in a V12 so last week I finally managed it and picked up this Carbon Black. There was no point just plodding back up the dual carriageway so took the scenic route home. Up the A9, through Glenshee to Ballater then home along Royal Deeside. Not a bad route for a first drive.

The car's fantastic and hugely different from the V8. Moving from Sportshift to manual changes the experience completely for me as I never really got on with the SS.

Here's some pics and one of the V8 at the end for posterity - I still miss that colour.

Hi C997

Welcome to the club! You will not regret the switch from the V8. Have to say IMHO black really is the best colour for a V12V. It looks so mean and purposeful. Just looking at the thing will brighten your day before you even drive it. Well done!

Best Regards

Superb!

I got a low mileage carbon edition from the same guys last year, albeit 3 times the mileage of yours.

I think I saw your car when I was in a couple of weeks ago. Sports seats I think I recall?

Nice
How come your V8V was a US car?

It wasn't the US, that's the Middle East. The front plate fell off ;-)

Great choice, I'm sure you'll love it. I did the same back in December and just loving the V12V, I'm sure you'll agree it's just got more of.... well, everything ! I can't believe how much more comfortable the lightweight seats are compared to the standard sports seats - assuming yours has them, how are you getting on with them? All the best, Paul

That's a great way of putting it, describes the difference perfectly!

When I saw the car at first I was a bit disappointed to see it didn't have lightweights but the sport seats are excellent so can't really complain. I had read that all the Carbon Editions had lightweights but that's obviously not true.

cheers,

Fantastic car, well done that man (although what does C997 refer too)...............only joking.
Did your V12 Carbon Black come from the same source as the V12VR they have in stock just now?
I was pleased to see one in the flesh after only ever seeing them on You Tube

Haha, C997 was my staff number in a previous life, maybe ;-)

Not sure if the same person owned the V12VR, I was only told it was part of a collection, hence the tiny mileage I suppose.
