I clocked the socks, I did wonder if he owned the Yellow Vantage!
nono Yellow DB7 in the inner circle, matching chairs too thumbup
This one... just great. Even the cheesy wotsits in the bowl were colour matched with plenty of E-numbers added, I'm sure.

No comment,absolutely no comment.
Look at it this way.
This charming couple had obviously gone to a lot of trouble to raise a smile from all ,they added to my day.
Colour coding with their smashing car,a great idea, very well executed, good luck to them. smile

We had the pleasure of meeting another yellow Aston owner (as in the car being yellow not the owner) y'day, & a relative newbie at that so congratulations go to Beaubee for going for the brave colour choice (didn't all the yellows stand out well!) and for his colour coded shirt too wink

Ed, Eleanor and family what a great job you've done today at Burghley, fantastic event with easily over 200 cars, it was an absolute pleasure and went so smoothly. Thanks very much for doing this for everyone and raising so much money for the charities. The flypast was the best I've seen, you and I see these guys a lot practising over where we live but today's display was really special, tree skimming at one point. Thanks again!!!
Ed ,Eleanor , your girls and the rest of the team.....what a great effort from you all. Thank you for the anticipation over the past year and thank you for a great weekend....well done !!!!

Congratulations, Ed, for organising a fabulous day at Burghley yesterday. We both had a great time as did many, many others. The organisation was first class, so many thanks to you and to your team. And you raised a significant amount of money for two great charities. thumbup

Ed and the team, thanks for organising a great day out.

Superb venue !

Great turn out.

Fantastic cars, a new switch thanks to BR, a bottle of wine from the raffle and a splendid air display.

To continue the Ed50 theme we even took in dinner at the Carrington Arms on the way home (scene of a previous Ed50 gathering).

Cheers

Dave and Alex

Ed what a brilliant day and a fantastic weekend. Your skills at organising the event were first class and it was great to put a few names to faces. So many beautiful cars to look at and admire as well. You should be very proud of what you achieved.

I have to say a big thank you to Ed and all who organised and helped out on the day.We couldn't have asked for better weather and the amount of cars that turned up was awesome.

It was nice to see old and new faces again. So glad my auction lot raised so much money and im sure the lucky winner will share the pics soon when its done.

As you all know, im just a mere slip of a thing at the min, so I need constant fuel and to that end Ed had this made for me and I loved it. I tried to resist, but in the end temptation got the better of me:

Then, just when I thought I was spoilt enough, kev (laser sag) and his lovely wife brought with them a gorgeous chocolate ginger cake for me that she had kindly made (for the second time) Unsurprisingly, that's going down fast too!

oh yeah, thanks to avinalaf for my special name tag and of course Les for being a proper army type man and tying the knot on my sign for me.

Hope to see you all soon

Re-iterate everyone's comments - well done Ed et al for a fantastic event.
It's my first Aston and my first event and what an event it was too.
Thank you to everyone (Molly, Rob, Martin, James, Oi you with the hat Tony lol!...) who made me feel most welcome.

Seen some of the pics and the yellow sure does stand out biggrin
...thought it would be a nice touch with the shirt lol!

...and I won a raffle prize:

What a fantastic day. Here's a little reminder that there is an engine that sounds better than an Aston V12 (maybe two engines as I'm no expert but suspect the second one may be a Griffon rather than a Merlin). Sorry for being a muppet and videoing with my phone held in portrait rather than landscape but they still look and sound unbelievable.

Do you know which airfield/collection the Spitfires were from? Was it Old Warden/Shuttleworth?
