Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm for the brand and for the photos. This lot sometimes forget how lucky they are to own an Aston Martin but this weekend has been a good reminder thumbup

No I think they were exactly at 500 feet and not below.

Well, I'm trying to get some w**k done here today but it's not happening, keep looking at all the Burghley photos...

This is what greeted us on arrival. Best queuing experience of the year!

In good company... Vesuvius tucked in behind us. Didn't even hear them coming.

The lawn filled up quickly. Lots to choose from, every one unique, I'm sure.

I took so many photos unfortunately I can't remember to whom each car belonged. This might have been Ian? Apologies if not.

Colour coordinated accessories were the order of the day

Caught this moment on the edge of one of my other shots

Beautiful. Nice to see little sticky fingers safely behind backs!

All the classics were immaculately presented

Another rarity

And once most of the "rabble" had left the golden inner circle, we sneaked in from the lower lawn and grabbed some photos by the front door cool

"Darling, I'm just popping out to the corner shop to get some milk. Taking the Aston - back in a jiffy"

byebye Burghley, until next year.

Nice one! Thank you for sharing, and I can see what I missed on the day - I didn't even realise there were cars in the stable courtyard.

BTW, I'm standing just to the left of the open tailgate in your first photo. After that, we hardly stood next to our own car all day... too many others to look at.

Great pictures - love the one of the queue to get in, just brilliant.

Not not my plaque - that one is Silverspeeds!

Great to chat with you and hope to catch up at another meet.

And talking of Silverspeed's Aston. When everyone else has gone home you can pretend it is your house (in your dreams anyway). A pair of V12VR's in the drive.

I wonder what the little lad’s thinking, “One day?” or “What a strange old car?”
Either way it was lovely – 1 ½ Litre Mark II 2/4 seater.

OK, thanks for the clarification Ian. I think we were standing right next to both your cars when we spoke, and I got muddled.

Great photo together at the end!

Remembered this post from the Welsh Weekender thread last month:

Back at The George in Stamford we were pleased to see some really colourful Astons starting to gather for the weekend

The parking lessons are obviously starting to pay off, bar one teacher
Or maybe just a greater AMOC contingent present?

I always hope these events will inspire the children who were around to one day own an AM, I can certainly remember the first time I saw one

I have triangulated from this video and can confirm that it was exactly 500 feet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7dpBPxicPQ

Magnificent cars a of them but for me the Mark II was very special . Needs to be a 2 day event next year if the venue is anything like Burghley.

Not sure if serious... wink but as someone who flies gliders and is hence often very low over airfields looking and judging my height I'd say they're about 300' when they come across the trees. This on the basis that those tall tress are around 150'

I did but only for an hour or so as I got called away with work. It was a fantasic layout but I was gutted about missing the spitfires after seeing them at Waddington air show.

There is always next year.
