Agree with RichB ( don't know how to copy his post) but then prefer Louis Roederer to both.

Yes that was also the general consensus but we didn't make it to the Louis Roederer cellars. smile

Sold out. Bum.
But nice ride in the sun and can't count the number of youngsters mouthing "Aston Martin" and one rather delightful young woman getting very agitated and excited while fumbling in her bag to drag out her phone to grab a photo of the car before we moved off... Not much entertainment in Hereford evidently.

Good news is Sainsbury's restock tonight ...so another trip in tomorrow.

So did I but a little research reveals that dom is only mentioned once in the books. I think it makes more appearances in the films though.
So Dom P is Aston Martin to Bolly's Bentley in the books?

Having done a tour of the champagne houses, in the DB MkIII of course, I reached the conclusion that Taittinger's wines are far more to my taste than Bollinger's.
You are indeed a man of taste. We had a bottle to start our picnic at Goodwood today before, rather unusually, picking a couple of winners.

Glorious it was.

Bollinger, is currently on special offer at Sainsburys.

Normally £45 per bottle, is reduced to £29 which is a great deal in itself, however they also have a buy any 6 bottles of wine or champagne and get 25% off offer. So if you stack those two offers it ends up at just £21.75 per bottle.

Too good to miss at this price so had 4 bottles delivered this morning along with some wine to get the extra discount and just popped the cork on the first one tonight. wobble
thumbup thanks for the heads up, collected half a dozen tonight, got a bit worried as it disappeared from the website when I looked earlier when navigating through to the booze section from their homepage eek

Thanks for the tip off !

Popped down to Sainsbury's this eve.

First attempt failed (out of stock), so bought £30 of shopping.
Presented with a £9 off next shop voucher.

Couple of miles down the road to the other Sainsbury's and hey presto, half a dozen bottles of champagne with discount, minus 25% and minus a further £9.

Now that's a deal !

Cheers

Dave.

Jesus ....ive just checked my cellar (not as grand as it sounds ) and I now have 52 bottles of decent fizzy stuff on the racks ....i need to start drinking it not buying more !......the good news is that delivery will between 12-1pm which will prevent my wife going out for lunch which will probably pay for the 6 bottles of Bolly smile

The deal did seem to vanish yesterday afternoon but it is back this morning so I assumed they briefly ran out and had to restock.

It was such a good deal that I quickly regretted only buying 4 initially, so I did the only decent thing and bought 6 more! They have just been delivered and now we have 9 left which should be enough to last us until at least the end of the month! wink

Anyway, thanks for all the "thanks", hope you all enjoy in good health!
