Yay we're back after 8 hours, losing Ian and William near Edinburgh and then meeting up again on M6. BIG thanks to everyone for a truly great weekend. Lots of memories, Martin and Mona continuing to call me Scotty all weekend, Adam calling Scotty Phil, Lisa calling Ian Danger Trousers! All quite surreal
Great fun. Well done all. No doubt we'll have photos to put up later. Oh and the roads were rather good as well

Glad you're back safe Sc.....errr..Phil.. Brilliant time ....Scotty & Julie thanks a million! Great bunch of people as usual.
The scenery is fantastic and the time of year just right for the trees to be changing into every colour you can imagine.
We're off up north tomorrow...route planned....... Nairn, Invernes, Dornoch, Durness, then down the West side to Ullapool, Inverness again, down Loch Ness, Fort Augustus, acros to Kyle of Lochslsh, across to Skye, up to Uig, back across the ferry to Mallaig. Fort William.

Just got home. Wow.
Took the motorways home (with the plan to take the A702 after Edinburgh but, alas, the Volvo sat nav struck again and ended up taking the M9 to Glasgow via God-knows-where) and parked up at home exactly 8.5 hours after we left Atholl Place.
1303 miles in total (or approx 26% of my annual permitted mileage on my insurance policy!), 300 of which made the other 1000 totally worth it.
Thanks for a great weekend everyone and a huge thanks the Scott and Julie for some superb organisation and being top people.
Will post some pics after I've gone through them. Cant wait for the vid.
Adam
PS I love my car

You know, I think you're onto something there. It's a quirky bugger, at times. It's spent a fair bit of time in the dealership. It's got a voracious appetite for fuel. It's expensive to insure and tax. I fought with mine, and it's corsa's, in the damp/wet conditions we had all weekend.
But, I wouldn't change it for the world
I think a few coats of Zymol are in order this week

oh! If only!!! Seriously, though, many thanks to Ian and Eric for all the help they've given - it wasn't just leading the groups on Saturday, those guys did far more than that since the event was announced.
Thanks fella's, you're bloody stars!
Scotty & Julie - that was a weekend of wonderful memories, great great route. Impeccable planning - weld one guys
The Bonnie land served us all of the treats one could expect: drenching rain, blazing sunshine, drenching rain, blazing sunshine and definitely the most exciting and gloriously beautiful roads I have ever driven in the UK. Autumn had arrived in Scotland - the yellows, oranges an copper colours set the tone for epic weekend with some really great people. Lots of great friends made

Finally home after 8 hours - 1100 miles round trip, even found a roller coastal road on the way back (A68) or rather the sat nav found her. Big Thanks Scott and Julie for a fantastic weekend - was awesome. Great people, fantastic roads and every kind of weather you could wish for. Big thanks to Ian for the trip to Edinburgh and Eric for the fantastic detour on Saturday with apologies to the others we lost on the final leg.

Just watching the clip...pretty fine editing...although something seems to have gone wrong in the upload as it appears that it goes in 'fast forward' mode at certain points Excuse my ste video skills.
Hopefully Lewis will do us proud soon
