It indeed depends on the guy you speak with, whether it is Kroymans, CITO or any other dealership, to see if they are knowledgable or not in this respect.

Since overhere (in NL) we have a totally different (and exorbitant) tax regime on cars, you can not simply do a relative / % compare with the UK or any other country.

For instance, on a new DBS Volante Manual there was not only the well-known (21%) VAT, but also about Euro 85K CO2 tax (BPM) added (so new price was around Euro 380K here). On the new DB11 it is happily a lot less, because of lower CO2 emissions, but still significant (around Euro 50K?). For 2nd hand cars, this CO2 tax is depreciated with a certain aging formula, but on a 2011 car, still big chunk of this tax (about Euro 30K) is part of the cars pricing. So you first have to correct this CO2 tax, and THEN make the relative comparison with other countries. For this specific car, they sell it also for export, and then the price is Euro 266K (including 21% VAT), see http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/details.html?id=...

And then there always is a difference between LHD and RHD cars, depending on the volumes made for each, and of course the demand.

Since a new DBS Volante Manual overhere was around Euro 380K from new back in 2011, and 2nd hands where down to around Euro 150K two years ago, but are now back to Euro 200K for the TT and this Manual one has a price tag of Euro 295K, this gives an idea about the trend where it is going (all prices including the mentioned [depreciated] CO2 tax).

BTW, nice pics of this Manual DBS Volante (RHD), will post mine (LHD) later (Hammerhead with silver/grey softtop).

Well I must step in here as I bought my V12VSR at Kroymans Aston Martin last year and found them very knowledgeable, they took almost two hours to deliver the car to me, Eduard taking his time to explain every single command and feature of the car in detail and price wise were very competitive if you are not registering the car in the Netherlands were car taxes are ludicrous (but that's not something Kroymans can do anything about I'm afraid!) but a fact you are fully aware of as I seem to remember none of your cars are registered in the Netherlands Brakke!
Sure the manual DBS Volante is priced quite high but this reflects the car's rarity and condition and the aforementioned NL tax which can be discounted if you export the car in some cases.
I have no affiliation with Kroymans other than being a satisfied customer.
Kroymans Ferrari I am very happy with, but AM not much so at Kroymans.
But as you said, I didnt buy anything from them I just have my cars serviced by them..

EDIT:

just like to add that I mean no harm to Kroymans, but I just had a few bad experiences in service of my AMV12VR under warranty. That person no longer works there, so should be sorted now.
Secondly, I was very keen on buying a new V12VSMR there, but due to misinformation (the car only being made available to US) I had gone and bought a SLR Roadster (something completely different, i know).
Perhaps its not Kroymans fault, as AM is known to be a total PR disaster when it comes to giving out new model information to the public and even their dealers.

Having said that, I still think the DBS will stick around for a while at that price. Perhaps around 220k there might be a buyer....lets wait and see.

Finally we know the answer to the Thread Question: in the current AM Quarterly (Winter 2018/2019) a 3-page article shows all details about the DBS Volante production numbers!

Thx TIm et al for the superb work researching this!

The numbers are lower than my earlier guestimate and happy to see there are only 44 DBS Volantes with Manual Gearbox, of which only 10 in mainland Europe (assume those are all LHD) and only 8 RHD (of which 4 are press cars, including the famous car shown in the Top Gear roadtrip to Romania).
