I understand Volvo have released their 2014 discs. Because of the amount of info, and types of disc I'm a bit confused.

As far as I can gather, its
Volvo RTI (MMM+) - HDD Europe - 2014
Previous Volvo Part number: 31396119
Volvo Part number: 31421273

I was just hoping someone with experience could confirm.
Ta very much!

Confirmed, that's the correct disc for the HDD version pre the Garmin, but post the DVD version.

Does this update have TMC enabled for the UK?

If you had TMC before, it will continue. If you did not have TMC before, meaning you have MMM- or DVD, then TMC will never be supported no matter what mapping year disks you purchase. The above disc is only for MMM+ HDD.

Well, I can confirm it works a treat. 2014 maps, £150ish from Volvo. Even though it's a HDD system, you still need to leave disc 1 in the drive to work it.
So I updated the Vantage and put the old 2012-2013 Original Aston disc out to put in the DBS. It updated then asked for disc 2. What disc 2? Asked my dealer, they didn't help really in saying there isn't one.
Anyone got one I could borrow? Now, If I could only find out how to back them up, I wouldn't be in this crap in the first place!!!!!

If you update using a Volvo disk, do you get a Volvo logo when you start the satnav?

I keep meaning to go mine, but always use the Tomtom.

No, it stays all Aston. There are three layers of programming.
The update doesn't change the Aston bit.

Also in the POI layer, you still have Aston Martin dealers (andno Volvo dealers!).

The firmware in the nav unit knows it is fitted in an AM and will choose the right startup logo as well as the right POI layer.

Any volvo dealer, or FRF Volvo in Swansea. They do discounts and deliver to you by courier.
01792 790066 or 01792 784272 - Quoting discount code: C3
Illegal copies are available online - take your own view on piracy.

Does this update blackspots / speed cameras too?

The HDD has a DVD disk slot to facilitate the update? Wonder where that is?!

Cheers

Fixed speed camera positions are update, like POIs.

DVD disk slot (to load HDD) depend on car, on DB9/DBS Volante it is behind the driver set, (close to subwoofer, if present).

Ken - are sure it's the Volvo system not the later garmin one on the rapide? The garmin updates via a memory card which on my vantage is over the rear near side wheel behind a panel

Early Rapides have the HDD Volvo system, like the one on my MY11 V12V.

Cheers guys - I believe its the Volvo one being a 2011 Rapide.

To be honest I am seriously thinking of removing the screen and clipping in my far easier to use 5" Tom Tom into the flip out panel after what it did to us on the way to the Burleigh House meet. I believe the air is still blue around Silverstone! TomTom has live speed cams and traffic updates via its SIM card and does really useful Google searches for fuel/food away from the motorway service stations etc. The ski slope has to come out anyway to fix the crack... Hmmm...
