I am looking to sort out a dilemma regarding the use of the back seat of a DB9:

did any DB9 owners manage to install this type of baby / child seat using the back seat bell?
it is not the huge baby carried, it is the next stage when the child can stand a bit more!

If you have a picture of this type seat installed in the back seat, it will be brilliant because I could progress on my quest to find an AM solving 1 problem.

The size is generally in the range: H46, W42, D71cm

Thanks

I never managed. Best I was able to do was get my daughter in the back once she was old enough to just sit on a booster - that worked quite well. New borns and toddlers pretty much have to go into the front. You could always stick the missus in the back - the front passenger seat needs no leg room with a baby seat on it after all.

Thanks Slartibartfast, makes scene to do it in this way. yes

Did the legroom space creating at the back was acceptable for the missus?

Only for shirt trips. The wife is 5'5 and it was a squeeze for her even with the front seat fully forward.
Look forward to the day when your child can sit in the booster - as i intimated, it's absolutely ideal.
I thought about ripping out the rear seat cushions to make space for the child seat (on my 997 I could do this by design) but I think you'd need an interior person to do this properly for you.

I managed for a year or so with a Britax Duo Plus (non-ISOFIX) for a one to two year old and a MaxiCosi Rodi (also non-ISOFIX) for a four to five year old.

The younger child was behind me and the elder child behind my wife, so there was room for his legs to go down between her seat back and the front of the rear seat. The problem comes when the younger child grows so that his legs are too long to fit behind his father whose seat back touches or nearly touches the rear seat, but too short to go down into a gap between front and rear seats.

I realise I stem from the smaller end of the cell range but I would be gobsmacked if you could ever get that contraption in the rear seats of my old DB9.

What's wrong with a Rapide confused

This was the only one I can find, requires the front passenger seat to be right forward, an it is tight. I tried quite a few before I found this.

Believe it is slightly better in a coupe, but not much.

Only good for shortish journey's, Daughter is now over 15kg so I now use a booster unless she is in the front..
