Jockers you sweet man, red is the colour choice, with no scaffolding inside or out. There is of course a very efficient rear spoiler which contributes to it lapping the Nurburgring in 7 mins 23 secs.
Really useful that when driving down to the shops tongue out

In all seriousness it is a nice car and I'm sure it will be amazing to drive, just lacks that certain something for me.

fk I find myself agreeing with George banghead

Congrats on new car Rob - am I the ONLY one who isn't surprised ???? With recent trials and tribulations and withdrawal from several AM events along with your previous interest in a blinged beetle then sorry, but I thought it was a forgone conclusion and was only a matter of time.

I'm sure the GT3 will be an awesome motor, coupled with your enthusiasm, (over biggrin)zealousness and passion for a brand I am sure you will enjoy ownership of such a motor car. It wouldn't be a car for me personally, as wasn't the V12VS to replace my V12V and I still feel FOR ME the DBS is the perfect car to use on UK A and B roads - especially in MY area! - but as a track day tool I'm sure the GT3 will be superb as would a V12VS.

Enjoy biggrinthumbup

Therein lies my point, Jeff....

Who in their right mind wants to be inappropriately overtaken on the Brecon Beacons by an Alan Rickman look-a-likey in his late 50s driving a car with an enormous 'fin' on the back of it?

I think we need to send Molly a wig and a moustache to disguise herself yes
This is what we loved about this forum - the daft, irreverent off-topicism that used to happen here. I do have my doubts that there will be much of that wiv ze jermans.

In the meantime - I started this thread so please feel free to take it as far off topic as you wish biggrin

Alan Rickman? scratchchin I think I can see where you're coming from there Jockers!

Oh Dear Geoff what have you said. Molly is currently getting dressed for work. I have just peered upstairs to see five and a half inch heels a lot of thigh, pencil skirt and a blouse that seems to have exploded. Please wish me luck I think that I am going to need it. It seems that I am going to have a scarlet woman to match my car. smokin

Erm....I think you will find that you didn't start this thread nono

Some luverly, kind, warm-hearted Aston enthusiast named MollyGTi initiated this woeful tale.

If you're not happy about Alan Rickman, I'll throw in Geoffrey Rush too yes

grumpy I only changed the 'i' to a '3' - its only my car-brand allegiance that's changed - in all other ways I think you'll find I'm still the same innocent, sweet-natured slip of a girl that has graced this forum for the past 38 months tongue out

How much time & thought went into coming up with those 2 names as comparisons to himself?! I'll be disappointed if you don't come up with a suitable look-a-likey for me too! biggrin

Seriously good luck with the Porker, that will be a missile on the track for sure. I am interested how it will fair crossing continents and will read your future reports of European driving trips no doubt.

At least it will be subtle Rob, just like you nono
I take it you are offering your services there Cockers? Pah! Who needs lessons? I will admit we are looking forward to going to Silverstone for the Porsche boys to teach us how to handle one of these beasties tho' I expect Rob could teach them a thing or two wink

As for use as a tourer - well we have already been reading the experiences of others and its very encouraging. Its less wild than its predecessors (until you want it to be). For anyone interested here's just one well-respected journo's opinion of it:

All the best Rob and Molly on your new car adventure smile

Sent you a PM

I sold my Aston 3 weeks ago, nothing as exciting as your next steed has been planned to replace it at the moment.

I'm sure you'll enjoy terrorising the Welsh sheep with the howling flat 6 at 9000rpm biggrin

John
