Very interesting - bon chance to the new owner!
Funnily enough I went to see DBS 007 when it was for sale last year with an Independent Aston Specialist in London. Had an offer in on it too…
Happier with my V12V, though!
Glad to hear you're happy with your V12V but surprised you passed up DBS 007 considering its huge investment/appreciation potential!!! Funnily enough I went to see DBS 007 when it was for sale last year with an Independent Aston Specialist in London. Had an offer in on it too…

Don't get me wrong, I'm still rather envious of what you have there, but will always look on it as 'the one that got away'. On the upside I've got 3 bottles of the limited edition Bond Bolly in the fridge, so will just have to look forward to that!
It's interesting you said the car had been on the market a long time. I'm also surprised you got such poor customer service from Nic Mee. this time around the car had a waiting list of 5 customers in 24 hours and 12 in 48, luckily I was first in line and had several people offering to buy the deposit off me!!!

This is a pic of the V12V with the DBS I tested behind it… Lightning Silver, B&O stereo, glass button upgrade and full AMWorks Service history!
Your V12V does look rather nice!
I do know about the James Martin association with the car and have read a newspaper article by him on it and her. Does he say anything special about it in his autobiography?
This is the article I have read, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1068195/...
On a slightly different note it would be nice to share a bottle of your BOND Bollinger one day !!

But not better than the original Vanquish Eh!
This is debatable! I love the looks of the original vanquish, especially in 'S' guise. I wouldn't say one is better than the other, however the DBS looks more modern and has just the right balance of elegance and aggression. I think everyone would agree the DBS has a far superior interior, although the Vanquish S/DB7 GT seats do look fantastic. Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
