So, attracted by the nice pop up advert extolling the virtues of having my Aston serviced at an official Aston dealer, I duly filled in the form, and waited (5days) for my nearest dealer to come back to me with a quote to service my 3 year old V8VR.
The advert quotes prices from £651 (up to a maximum of £772 for a 5th year service).
My car has covered 6K miles from new, so guess what the quote was from Lancaster Sevenoaks??
"That would be £1150 sir" came the friendly reply....
I thanked them for their kind offer, and put the phone down.
Am I out of touch, or are they taking the mick???

Nope, if you read the small print the cheaper prices are only for cars registered from nov 12. No idea what changed then, and I'd have thought a build date or model year was more relevant give some cars sit around at dealers, but pixie dust means services are suddenly £500 cheaper

Grange quoted me the same for a 7th-year service.

I replied "I have been quoted £650 elsewhere - will you match that?"

Grange "if you can send us a copy of the quote, we will match it"

Me "of course they are not going to put that in writing, will you do it for £650? Including collection/delivery?"

Grange "OK then."

I saw that ad too, and it's misleading - all the official centres charge £1k+.

Included VAT - yes.
But not plugs (I already have a set to install myself).

So Aston are basing their "lead" pricing. and quoting prices for 70K miles servicing for cars that are less than 2 years old.

I wonder how many cars can possibly qualify for that??
Answers on a postcard to the marketing department at Gaydon!!
Major own goal....

Only if you are doing 35k miles a year. And it would be the 4th service that you had that year!

Have you seen what is needed to change them?
They are in pairs and cost about £60 each for a pattern one, OEM are about twice that frown
