9 months in my possession, car is not new. Second opinions already in place, and agree.
Not what I expected from a premium brand like AM.
A 7 year old car with nearly 30k miles? It sounds like you should've read the small print properly.

It's an insured warranty (with lots and lots of get outs), not a manufacturers warranty. And you've been using the car for 9 months, not 9 days.

Anyway, it sounds like you have the perfect excuse to upgrade to 200 cell cats. biggrin

I used to get loads of ESSR warnings and after many resets by the dealer and myself, (they never cleared themselves), the dealer replaced the left bank Lambda Sensor..........not one error since.

If you have been getting the warning every 200 miles or so since you purchased the car i would have a good chat with the dealer as thats not right.
Is there a chance that the failure of the cats is down to the fueling on the Prodrive conversion, I would doubt it but you never know.
The Bamford Rose 200 cell cats from my old Vantage are going on the classifieds on here when I get round to it if you are thinking of going that way. They don't fit on the revised exhaust system on the S or they would be going back on that.

By way of an update on mine, ironically again, the message cleared itself after 5 days on start up on the trip to the Dealer to have it read. I went anyway (only a few miles away), they read it anyway and all was fine, no work needed. So, message to self: must only do longer journeys driving harder - oh well, I'll cope!
