George fk off you fairy. Bob, give Mallory Park a ring wink
The best thing about Mallory is the cafe. The circuit is boring!
As are your rants about manual gearboxes, mis spaced number plates and decorative CF biglaugh

I haven't had one in a bit. Maybe I'm overdue!

Bob, get Cadwell booked. The best circuit in the world. No issue with noise either. Not too expensive either.

Shall I give Silverstone a chance to quote? I am trying to find somewhere reasonably central, reasonably priced and for weather reasons, preferably a weekday at the end of March.

PS: If a circuit is unserviceable thru' weather, all costs are refunded.
Hi Bob. The GP circuit is very expensive, but the South loop of the circuit can be hired separately, and its got the best combination of corners at a more reasonable price.

Mallory is not for Aston Martins!!

Cadwell is ok, but you don't want to have a grassy excursion there, it'll end up expensive.

Anglesey full circuit is ok.

Also, the Donington National short circuit is best, as its easier on the brakes, and presumably cheaper to hire.

More run off on all the most likely corners to crash at than there is at most circuits.

Loads of run out at Coppice, Charlie's, Park, Chris's, Gooseneck, Mansfield and the left hander into the Mountain.

Also if you're doing Anglesey the costal is the one to do. But you won't get as many cars on track at once.

So far I think we can say for sure we need 105db minimum. So thats Donington out. I'll do some phoning around tomorrow and see what some of the other suggested circuits have available.

I hope to have my Aston by then (in case I dont this isnt a formal vote) but Oulton is well worth consideration. It's a good track with decent run off and relatively easy to get to from most of the UK which might help with the numbers.

Bob as you are a "glutten for punishment" I'd like to suggest you take a leaf out of the trackday companies books!
Most insist on the following;
Reservation is not complete until ~25% of cost have been paid
Balance must be paid 14 days before the event
Booking photos is an option at reservation only

Whilst Oulton is a great track the run off is minimal. You do not want to come off at Island or Clay Hill for example. Also it's only 102dB and is one of the most expensive tracks to hire.

Mallory is tiny. Only a couple of corners and it's all done. Definitely better for bikes.

I remember having a good giggle there many years ago in my Lambo. TBH I don't mind where we go but given the fiasco Bob has had to endure with Snetterton it was just an idea to try to contain costs. I don't give a fk, my wife pays biggrin
