Dine on the line
Discussion
I may have missed something here.
On the basis that this event is mainly for owners of Astons or those very interested in buying into the marque, why are they being asked for £195/£235 plus travel expenses and their valuable time to what is arguably a glorified marketing experience ?
Certainly an interesting experience to visit Gaydon but to be charged for it ?

No mention of any strippers or pole dancers !

If I remember correctly, when this was done before (the Centenary factory week), the dining marque was located slightly away from the lines. Therefore, probably no view of any action, whilst seated at the dining tables.

I called Customer Service today, as my dealer didn't call back either. It is surprising hard to spend money with AM. So the team have been out all week apparently. I now have a booking confirmed so all is good again. Looking forward to it, hoping to convince Mrs A that she needs a V12S in her life.

I was there for that. The room is glass on three sides with the fourth being solid (behind is the cooking/prep area for the staff). The factory is so quiet that even though you're in the middle of it, there's no noise beyond the people in the room.Jon39 said:

I think it's in the audit bay - top tip, make sure your new Aston isn't coming down the line on the days of this event Update: had our confirmation through today. Looking forward to this one.
Been away for a while, on catching up.. I thought this was a bit of fun. I went to dinner and music in the Volkswagen Glass Factory in Dresden a couple of years ago after delivery of my V10 Phaeton which was a fantastic car, which was fun.
It did strike me that dining at the Aston Factory might with the addition of music might be better, with some of the observations on quality that arise from the ownership, might be appropriate to......
Have ‘The Rolling Stones’ performing “I can’t get no satisfaction” might get the point across to the quality control.
Or maybe " You can't always get what you want"
Whilst some satisfaction will be by driving a great car nothing will detract more than being let down by quality.
Let’s hope the recently appointed head from Nissan improves things.

I must confess it does seem an odd concept.
Seems very odd to me to having seen the photos. Comes across as lording it over the plebs on the factory floor. Was it inspired by Upstairs Downstairs / Downton Abbey?

I wouldn't go, but I don't see it as a 'class' thing at all - you're watching the performers and the cars, not the 'servants'. Anyway those chaps make the cars whether they are watched or not, so if there is a lords-plebs thing (which there isn't), that happens regardless of the dinner.
