So it's perfectly possible and quite straightforward!

You need the following:

Cruise button £40
3 wires £1
BMW 4 pin plug £3
Knife - £?

Solder the 3 wires onto the rotary board, cut away the leather to make the shape for the button to sit down, plug it all in and the cruise control should be illuminated white.

Take it to the dealer, 30 minutes labour £56.

This applies to Db9s aswell as the Vantages. Certainly beats the £600 cost with a new steering wheel. Absolutely no need and it works perfectly fine.

Would love to do this too, could you upload the part number for the BMW 4 pin plug and what sort of wire to buy, maybe with a link to where you bought them. This would be a great article for the FAQ with a couple of pictures.
