Missing oil Mystery

Just out of interest and while we're talking about oil, does anyone know if there is a:

1) Low oil level warning light
2) Low oil pressure warning light

I don't see many modern cars with oil warning lights but my previous Merc had it.

1) Don't know, but doubt it.
2) Yes - I watch that light whilst doing the 'no-start' engine cranking (with the accelerator pedal to the floor).
