Does that mean you have to be accompanied by an ARDS instructor whilst driving on circuit, to have cover?
As I'm relatively sober and everyone else is on the beach I will have a stab at an explanation. When we insure helicopters cover applies to named pilots plus "any" qualified instructors. My guess is that Locktons view any owner taking instruction from an ARDS instructor as a good thing so "throw in" the cover. AMDBSNick said:

Is this classified as work?
Now, where has the wine gone
Good, so that means I'm insured to take you flying in one of your clients aircraft. Let's go......Is this classified as work?

Mods this is aimed at helping so please don't delete.
Whilst we do sell the Chubb HNW product which in some ways is superior to the Locktons product it DOES NOT provide the track day cover. In this respect the Locktons contract is virtually unique. Obtaining track day cover at the moment is almost impossible unless you use a Locktons type product, generally marque specific.

Bob....I've kept quiet until now, but for me (and others may disagree) the Silverstone circuit is a bit boring. I would prefer something more 'interesting' like Donnington with its dips and crests etc. it's just my style and maybe not everyone's cup of tea. Donnington is much more central too and may attract folk from 'upNorth'. Castle coumbe worth a look too and just off the M4!!! George
Good luck whatever.....will try and support you if possible. Appreciate your continued enthusiasm for organising this.

I have tried Donington but their 96db limit is too low. The cost of a noisy day in March would be in the region of £20,900.
March and September are the cheaper months and 6 months apart, helps balance budgets and we get two goes per year.
Mallory have a 98db limit,,,poo.
I'm talking to MSV about Bedford Autodrome 101db and Cadwell Park 105db. Cadwell is winning on db's and price.

Yes, please. Monday 30th March at Cadwell Park. Price will be £3700+VAT for exclusive hire and noise limit will be the same as Snetterton (105db static / 92 drive-by).
I am negotiating Bedford Autodrome, has a brilliant GT circuit but has a lower noise allowance, monitored directly by the local council, so probably quite strict.
