Nice angles, mate!

I always struggle with the editing and putting stuff together afterwards

Cheers. To be fair i did it on my laptop last night out here in Afghan then allowing all night for it to be uploaded to Youtube! The only thing i wanted to improve on after watching it was the wind noise. Ill wait till im back in UK in Feb to redo it.

Nice video smile trying to work out my favourite camera angle, I think the one on the drivers door covering the Strake and the one left side of top windscreen were great. Another great location iI have seen, s down on the front splitter.
Thanks for sharing.
I too struggle with editing software, what are you using?
What are other people using?

I've used the front splitter, in fact I have one of those sticky go pro mounts attached there. Makes for some good shots IMHO.

As far as editing software goes, the highland hoon vids were flung together using GoPro studio. I found this very simple to use.

I used iMovie for the welsh weekender vids. I found this a bit of a struggle tbh. Just seems to be less user friendly, and I failed to understand what all the functions and processes were/are.

This was the mount i used in the car, i picked it up going through Dubai Airport.

As for editing, i used basic Windows Movier Maker.

Nice work
I presume you are just using a suction mount?
No issues with fixing to paint work?

Great framing! Not sure why it is 4:3 aspect ratio though? Didn't think my Go Pro 3 even did that? As you have the eye go for Pro Tune 1080P mode (although editing this might push your PC a bit more). Get a small external mic with a fluffy softie/windjammer (try Rycote) as cars like this are all about the noise not music :-) Lovely job though - better than a lot of TV!

No issues. When i first bought the GoPro i had a Porsche 911 C4S so did a bit of messing about with that and it was fine. Used it on the Aston and its just a suction mount. You release the sucky bit before removal so there is no "pulling off"!!!

I too have been experimenting with a GoPro camera.

Initial troubles were not being able to obtain any Preview with an ASUS HD7 tablet. The wireless connected but no Preview, so I could not see what the camera was seeing. Do not know why this would not work.

Eventually tried again with an ASUS FHD 10 tablet (a bigger size version of the same tablet) and that worked straight away.

It is essential to use the GoPro Remote, when filming in a car (won't say any more about that!).

I always delay upgrading my computers until it becomes essential, but the GoPro has made me do just that. The 1080p GoPro videos certainly need some computer punch, to play without buffering.

I also was disappointed with the sound quality, so thank you Ken, I will follow your advice. There are quite a few 'professional' car video reviews, which are let down by their exhaust sound quality. We of course know what our cars sound like, and can immediately tell when a video does not sound correct.

I have tried a few different mounting positions (not yet brave enough for the external ones). On the windscreen I had part of the mount in view (fail), but was fairly pleased with the result when attaching the sucker mount to the passenger door window. This is the view.

I found this, which appears to be one way of recording clearer sound on a GoPro.

Not being knowledgeable about audio/video, I put this forward to the experts on here, for comment and opinion.

I have only heard the demonstration sound on a laptop so far, but will listen again on my hi-fi. Sorry it is one of those 'shouty' cars, and not an Aston Martin.

Not bad! Still a bit of wind noise and LF rumble but it captured the squeal! Space is obviously an issue but for TV you use a 'blimp' with a softie over it http://www.proav.co.uk/audio-equipment/microphone-... Bit OTT for a Go Pro of course, but the nail was hit on the head earlier about 'pros' not being bothered about including proper car sound in their videos. For me it often makes or breaks a clip.

Omark - stick it through the Go Pro Studio app and select the 'de=fisheyelens ' option. It then ingests the file from the card and saves it elsewhere as a less compressed files which is easier to work with. You can also add a touch of colour correction and for e.g. remove a bit of magenta in yours (get the dash back to black) and crush the blacks a bit too to make the image look more perky and less washed out etc.
