Ohh!
I was considering doing a trip like this and thought PHN's ones were too short
I see they've got the two running back to back!
Great idea!
PN's California trips have always run back to back, but in previous years, it was the same tour.

Then I think you know the answer to your question.

Looking forward to Cadwell Park ?

Our new fellow forum enthusiast cwin, has a cracking photograph on his profile page.

Ask your photographers to go to that location (it is near the paddock), and perhaps a prize can be offered for the best airborne Aston Martin shot.

Oh, and Craig mentioned a lap time of 1m 28s, but don't attempt to beat that.

Enjoy your day.

Jon.

A dry track and you never know, 1m 28s is fast but not unbeatable,,,,we have some pretty hot owners on the entrants list. yes

Fantastic photo by the way!

1.48 will be nearer for an Aston around there, in fact maybe not that quick. 1.28 is a full on race car time as well you know wink

Hi Bob,

I'm thinking of purchasing a Go Pro camera. Naive question: but can we use these externally or internally on the car on the day?

Cheers

Hi Mike

At Bedford Autodrome it was anything goes. At Snetterton it was much different even though both owned by MSV; any camera had to be 'mechanically attached' so a suction cup rated up to about 130mph externally wasn't good enough to be used inside the car unless it was tethered with a cable tie to the interior mirror - not sure a mirror stuck onto the windscreen is 'mechanically' attached but heyho it satisfied the requirements.

Bob might know or give the circuit a call if your buying decision is dependant on it. Also remember to bring some cable ties, apparently these are in short supply at the momentwhistle

I have a go-pro mount permanently 'stuck' to my windscreen just below the rear view mirror, very discreet indeed, used it at Snetterton:

This is the official line from the Cadwell/MSV website ( http://www.msvtrackdays.com/car/faq.aspx):

CAN I USE MY OWN ONBOARD RECORDING EQUIPMENT?
Yes you can as long as all in-car camera or other equipment is safely and securely attached, using mounting systems specifically designed for that purpose. The event team do reserve the right to refuse use of the equipment if they deem it unsuitable.

Thanks for the replies guys.
It was just a question of when I buy the camera. Will go for it and see what I can get away with...and will source the ties from somewhere.

Nice to see your action shots again Bob! smile
