You were driving like a demon Bob, that meant Andrew had his work cut out
For Vesuvius Teaspoon was uncatchable Vilhelm, I tried and it wasn't safe. No excuses but your semi-slicks and my 16 stones brother gave me no chance. Which was a shame because we would both have enjoyed some sparring. here's to the next wonderful event you organise Bob, we thank you dearly for the excitement and adrenalin you bring to us in these fun and safe track events, you're a star

Kind words appreciated Vilhelm. I am going to give Silverstone one more stab, hoping the new regime have a more realistic interpretation of whats "reasonable" when pricing a Track Day for us.
Hi Bob, Is it Jonathan our photographer? He said there were two tracks that were his favourite tracks: Cadwell and one other and in the excitement of the day I forgot the other. Could we ask him? He said it was epic too!I did Silverstone last summer with AML factory, it was just without soul, every bend looks and feels the same. Maybe worth a shot to ask Jonathan what the other track was? (Excuse the pun)
Hi All, Jon has posted up SOME of the photo's of the day at :

He is going to send out personalised cd's to each of us. I will identify who's who where Jon is unsure. Cheers.

William - I think he mentioned Croft as being another of his favourites....
Cheers
Croft is a cracking circuit. The back section through Jim Clark Esses and Barncroft is fantastic. Cheers
Only thing I think you might struggle with is the last corner. It's a really tight hairpin, so tight that I have been told that the Porsches in Carrera Cup (support for BTCC) cannot get round with their steering lock and have to essentially slide it round. Might make it awkward on a track day?

Anyone driven it on this forum?

That's the one. I've never driven it but been round plenty of times on a bike. Onboard here if you want to see what it's like: http://youtu.be/OKNaEpsI6IQ
It's bumpy in places and not in the best nick, but really good fun (apart from that last corner!)
Also I think they might have dropped from 105db to 102db this year, but maybe confirm with the circuit first.

George, when your Collar Bone repairs, remind me under no circumstances to except a lift on the back of one of your Bikes that looks freekin scary I've never driven it but been round plenty of times on a bike. Onboard here if you want to see what it's like: http://youtu.be/OKNaEpsI6IQ

The bend tightens up right, it's not a smooth radius?
Cockernee's son will be able to get round there

Scary but fun The bend tightens up right, it's not a smooth radius?

Yeah it's confusing. The kerbs are at a constant radius that is actually bigger than the corner, but ¾ the way round it just sort of intersects the straight. Always catches me out. No idea why they did it like that!
Hi Bob,
Here is an idea for a gathering...not quite a track day and may bring different hazards, but an interesting alternative for a high speed get together...will leave this here for folk to think about...

Hello All
Just a quick question regarding track day insurance, do we all have it included on our insurance or does anyone buy it separately for just for the day?
TIA
I swapped my insurance just before Cadwell to Lockton's - the price was pretty much identical to my previous insurer but Lockton's included trackday cover as standard. The previous company was a little confused as to why I wanted to cancel the policy 2 weeks before it was due to expire anyway!Just a quick question regarding track day insurance, do we all have it included on our insurance or does anyone buy it separately for just for the day?
TIA

Many times, the hairpin is tight, but no issues in a road car. It is an awesome circuit indeed. and I am sure my son could bin it somewhere
Your son will be ok here, looks like a lots more run-off for him to play with

Wayne (I have an eclectic mix of friends), builds dragsters, well maybe I should be re-class the description slightly to "monsters" for dragging: check out his latest project "Mental Breakdown" 0-179mph in 1/4 mile
