Thanks for all the input guys - If anyone knows of any good and reasonably priced examples, please let me know. If you're tempted to get a garage to sell on your behalf, give me a shout. I loathe paying dealer markups for nice, enthusiast owned examples!

Here's mine http://is.gd/vn9GJc I did post on PistonHeads I was selling but the general consensus was buyers were unlikely to pay circa £90k privately and would want the comfort of buying it from a dealer. Hence why its down in Brentwood who in fairness have been straight and whilst I have had to pay them a small premium to sell it, its probably less than what I would have had to drop the price by to compensate the buyer for the perceived added risk of a private sale.

Maybe I'm odd, but much prefer buying privately. I like meeting the owner and seeing how they've looked after the car. You can often save £10-20k too avoiding dealer markups.

I would love to see you buy a perfect car from a private buyer and save £20k, let me know, and good luck.

That's more likely but I couldn't do it spending over £100k 5k is nothing really.

I bought a V12V in March 2013 and have covered about 7000miles. About 2500 of that was a great road trip to Madrid, Granada, Seville, Salamanca and back - wonderful experience in a great car and trouble free. Love this car - you will too!! smile

Buy it. A V12 is a pinnacle for any petrolhead and before we all drive an Ever Ready. Gives me goosebumps just firing it up in the garage. Ohh and 20mpg - economical ;-)

I've enjoyed reading through this thread. I'm an owner of an early V12V CB edition. I think there might be only 2 or 3 of them here in New Zealand. I bought mine back in 2010 it was a one owner with low Km's. I absolutely love my car and to be fair have been tempted at times to move to something else including a V12VS but every time I jump back into that V12V I cant make the decision to switch. It is such an intoxicating car, it is by no means perfect. The steering lock is pathetic and chunky maneuvering it around. Those sport seats develop a bit of play after a while and yes I had the clutch replaced as it was slipping but hey I know why I love it so much and that is because it has three pedals! End of story...it will be a while yet but mark my word this car will be worth hanging onto. Manufactures are under pressure to design and build easy to drive electrically assisted cars and these manual V12's are just bloody awesome in so many ways and sadly the end of an error. I don't think anyone builds V12 manuals anymore? frown

all the best with your purchase.
