New V12VS.

Sukh , yes met on one of Jeffs Northants runs.
Funnily enough I looked at the skyfall one at works but changing the spec made it more expensive than a factory order.
Paddy , I wasn't planning on the graphics pack - have seen your comments on the black before - is China a " poor finish " from the factory ?

Every colour is a poor finish from the factory, but the china grey has nowhere to hide, as its not got any metal flake in it. You could always get the car covered in a self healing paint protection film and never have to worry about it again. After it has been polished of course.

I saw that one the other day so looked up the colour as I had not heard of it before. It is a V12V Zagato colour.

Indeed I was tempted by China Grey on my V8VS but even looking at brand new ones at the factory it is os easily marked and swirled, a scary proposition for a daily driver. I have found Lightning Silver very easy to maintain. Skyfall and Mako would be very similar I expect

I have light weights in my V8V. I have to say they are by far the best car seats I have ever sat in. There is not a single part of your body that isn't attached to the car, which means you can feel everything the car is doing. They also look really cool and make the whole experience more special. I wouldn't buy a Vantage without them.

I would recommend trying them yourself to see how you fit, but lightweights are definitely best for bolting you in and becoming more integral with the V12 beast. They win by a country mile for best cornering support and personally I have never found them to be uncomfortable, they also fit perfectly with the V12VS coupe's hardcore ethos. You won't miss the seat heating in the coupe, but had you been going Roadster you most certainly would!

That was me! Been pondering a change from V12V for a whe and this deal was just too good to walk away from :-). She's in the paint shop right now having additional Graphics black done. TBH Did not 'get' China Grey until we saw it in the metal and on the road earlier this year on a Group run - really needs lots of contrast though so V12S with carbon / black / Graphics works really well

Would not have entertained it without prior experience of Paddys transformation of 'factory' quality paint on our DB9.2 V - amazingly robust and easily cleaned and much more 'real world' livable for it. Don't let fears of easily marked paint put you off some of the colours :-)

Have to say I've done 17k miles in my V12roadster with lightweights and never missed the lack of heated seats :-) Having far too much fun to think about that plus the heating really isn't bad in the car

6' 1" around 13 stone (probably fatter now)

Also 13 stone and 6' 1". Have not driven LW's far, but found them uncomfortable. Really like the sports seats, and often use the heaters. Would not have bought a car with LW's.

PS Milk and sweetener in my coffee, steak rare. This is not a decision you should let anyone else take for you, entirely down to personal comfort.

6' and close to 17st nowadays......I test drove a V12V a couple of years ago which had the lightweights and I really struggled with the gear change. I suspect it was because I couldn't get settled in to the seat, as my left shoulder felt like it was too far forward. Obviously with the paddle shift of the V12VS this could be less of an issue. In my case being such a lard arse didn't help, so in my experience they are not a one size fits all, but as others have mentioned, you have to try both seats for yourself to make the decision. For me sports seats, as I had in my previous V8V, were the only viable option when I was looking for a V12V. Good luck with the new purchase, it looks like it will be a corker!

Thanks to all the helpful comments - my vist to the factory will no doubt add more fun once some of the colours actually seen in the flesh.
If it were a weekend car then would be really tempted to go more adventurous although Mako currently in the lead partially due to thanks to Cayman's link.
