Views on the AM website GT3 teaser ?
In particular what do people think about size of wing ?

As they say, a tease.
Most of the film is of GT3 race cars, so I don'think we know the wing size.
Perhaps the Vantage Zagato rear wing might be a guide, because that is a road car.

I hope the wheel arch extensions, that we saw on the Nurburgring black test car, are are not the final shape on the production car. All other parts of the Vantage shape are smooth curves, so to me those extensions looked like aftermarket add-ons.

Not been to see the clay model but would be interested to hear from anyone who has.I believe the proportions of the car and wing are obvious from model.
Is the car itself being shown before Geneva to those who have deposited ?
I had a date to view model in December but having initially decided to buy one then changed my mind.
The thought that I need one in my life is still lurking somewhere at the back of my brain no matter how much I try to suppress it!!!

My dealer has confirmed that more 'finished' version will be available to view prior to Geneva public launch. I arranged my factory visit with him yesterday - it's now set for 4 weeks time in early Feb. I'm hoping the ' new' version looks better than original clay version - a good friend of mine who was on the list viewed the original clay version prior to Christmas and came away somewhat unimpressed due to the rather rough and ready state of it ( he clearly was expecting a more finished product). I'm glad we did not view to the original timeline as more sales effort if required to ensure my Better Half that it'll be worth the commitment - I guess we'll both either 'get it' or not within the first mins of the viewing. I like to trust my heart on matters like this.

I still don't have any more detailed info morecthan my mate found out from his visit with e.g. finalised metrics, interior, external colours ways etc. so I won't be rushing to finalise the spec without some serious thinking and consideration. The one positive thing he was saying is that the sound with the Ti exhaust is apparently EPIC!

Oh...and also heard all cars gone at this time and it won't be going to the US or Canada - prob due to the allegedly enormous rear wing and v. Noisy exhaust (:-))

Let's see what rolls out.

Andy

AJR550 - that's where I am too! - I have a deep seated feeling that I would regret not getting one, but need to keep some sort of a straight head on as well...

It was arj550 who told us.
Penultimate item at the foot of page 5.

Although not entirely on topic, it might squeeze in as a Vantage being driven fast.
Not a new video, but I have only recently seen it.
Hang on to your seats.

That's OK. I was probably only alert, because I like the idea of ever more powerful and sporty Vantages.

Illogical really, where road cars are concerned I know. As can be seen in the Nurburgring video I referenced, 430 bhp looks plenty. Wonder if many on here with a V12 Vantage, could lap any quicker (I exclude Mr.Roughrider)?

Good effort by the V8, but he got a lot of traffic in awkward places.
OK, this is just about on a par with what a V12 Vantage could do [the V12 would be more stable over the undulations], IF Aston Martin deemed fit.

My understanding is the UK allocation sold out back in December and they have a waiting list.

My dealer also confirmed yesterday that the GT3 won't be coming to North America.

I think you'll find they will happily take your £15k deposit still if you want one.
