Seems the new "Bond car" is being used on set. The front view on the cobbles doesn't look good in my eyes.

The rest don't look bad - but know what you mean about that one angle.

Another interesting AM appears in that article:

Judging by the lack of a grill, it looks like a development mule of some sort. The wheels also don't look like they are current AM OEM. They look closer to a Lotus Exige wheel: http://www.lotuscars.com/our-cars/current-range/ex... (which, incidentally, are also made by Rimstock).

I'm guessing that this car is used to rehearse sequences before a DB10 is used for filming.

That's the one that was seen hammering round the ring a few months back, I suggested it was a DB10 mule early in this thread.

This one?

Different bonnet and wings/bodykit, non? I thought that it was established that this car was the development mule for the V12V GT3...?

Edited to add: actually, it does appear to have the same wings/arches. Just a different bonnet. So, I guess you could be right.

Something else has only just occurred to me about the DB10: those rear lights.

They seem to be a total departure away from the 'design language' (hurl) established by the Vanquish, One-77 and the DP-100. It seems to be a strange direction to head in...

I think it's a pretty bog standard V8V - those wheels are available on both the Vanquish and V8V at the moment. Since the DB10 is a V8V under the skin, it would make sense to do the trial runs in a V8V and save the risk of trashing one of the film cars before saying 'action!'

They aren't these ones: http://www.astonmartin.com/en/accessories/v8-vanta... But, you're right, they could well be the Vanquish wheels. I didn't think that those wheels would fit on a V8V, however.

The colour, grill and arches of that car all tie in with the test mule that was seen testing on the Nurburgring.

Don't know what you're talking about here. Those look like the same wheels that are on my 2015MY Aston, except mine are anthracite and these are black with diamond turned spokes.

They're not, Karl. I've got the same wheels as you on my V8V.

The Vs on the other wheels join the hub in a different fashion. The V becomes a single piece before it joins the hub, much like the Vanquish (and the Lotus) wheels. At least, that's the way that I see it.

The window surround trim is black, unlike the test mule's chrome. And it doesn't have the same V12V bonnet. I doubt they would have gone through the trouble of changing these for a mule. Also, no side strakes on the test car.

You're right. Now that I zoomed in I can see the additional black spokes outside each pair of diamond turned spokes.

Really, I just wanted an excuse to post some pictures of my car hehe

Also, am I the only one annoyed that The Daily Mail confused the cool Jaguar driven by the baddies with the rather fish-faced DB10? Or that the article's headline says "Aston Martin DB1"?

Here are the Vanquish wheels:

We keep hearing that the car was designed specifically for the movie, with just a nod towards future design language. So I'm wondering if the shark inspired front end means that there could be an underwater sequence coming. Wouldn't be the first time that Bond has been under the surface.

I quite like the rear. But not keen on the front. Looks a little like a kit car :s

I think the bronze coloured Jag looks way better from the long shots. Oh and I like Craig's double-monk boots
