Next Vantage, like the man said.

This is called DB10, I'm guessing the next 2+2 will be DB11

Looks alright but it's not as good looking as any of the current models.

Surely it would have made more sense for Bond to drive a Vanquish or an other current production model? Help raise sales for that instead of a car no one can buy?

But by the time the film is out the Vanquish will be almost at the end of production and the new Vantage/DB9 replacement will be imminent.

AML PR deserves an award for so spectacularly f****ing up every opportunity to clarify and instead, just confuse at every opportunity

This is a car they will only build 10 of, that hints at vantage replacement. OK, that bit I just about get (I understand it, not sure I entirely agree it's sensible)

The problem I have is with this statement 'only 10 will be built'

tell me who understands this exchange between a tweeter & Andy Palmer

AP : The DB10 is born. Strictly created for James Bond and strictly limited to 10 cars only. The most exclusive DB ever

JM: Do you mean 10 cars for sale or 10 cars for James Bond to wreck during filming?

AP; 10 cars total run - Lets hope James doesn't wreck them all!

So does that mean some will be for sale, or not ?

These are purely for the film. They're making 10 of them

That will mean 10 for the film company and any survivors will be sold. Will never see the road though, they will all end up in collections.

At least it's got us all talking !!! Just phoned my dealer - he knows nothing about it and neither does his contact at Gaydon. I was at AM on Tuesday and was told nothing new for a couple of years but they did say a raft of limited production run cars between now and all new models. So this may be a just a DB9 with a new body kit?

I guess the film schedule does not tie in with the development schedule and Aston were desperate to get something into the film.
Least we are not returning to the days when ford and bmw paid a fortune to get their cars in (bad) bond films

But you still can't buy the car that's getting all the publicity. They should have waited until the new model was out instead of releasing this 1 off then in my opinion.

It's just marketing hype for the masses. Everybody (well Brits anyway) loves Bond, and they love it best when he's in an Aston. Doesn't matter which one it is, whether it exists - now or never. All great PR for AM.

That's what I thought at first glance.
I know that you all like my input on matters such as this so....
Difficult to tell from these pics however...
Not too keen on the more angular design ,I preferred the muscular look of the One77 .
If they were going to go this way they should have been bolder and gone the whole hog as with the DP-100 ( modified of course for George ).
As it is it lacks the wow factor.
Maserati are bringing out the Alfieri in 2016 and that looks better than this.
The colour is a bit meh as well and doesn't help.

So that looks like you're suggesting one of two things:

1. AML ask Eon productions to delay the filming of the next Bond film until sometime in mid-2016 when a new car is launched
2. They tell Eon productions they don't have a car for the film and that they should go find a rival to appear in it

Personally I think going for a non-production prototype is better than either of those 2 (albeit clearly not ideal).

My question though is "does this rule out the new model being called the DB10?". Marek has previously said he thought they should go up by more than 1 number from the DB9 to show that its a big leap forward. So does that mean the next production V12 will be a DB11 or DB12?

No..... I think they should have given him a Vanquish... If the film is getting released next year the Vanquish isnt going to be replaced by then.

I guess in some respects its a good way of gauging the public reaction to the new design ideas but what the fk do I know
