Well, it's hardly surprising, is it? Mr Bond is a civil servant, after all....

James, if he starts chasing you in that, just head for some speed bumps. He won't risk taking that splitter out.

Does fit in with their advert campaign about villains and Jaguars. They must've jumped at the opportunity, or perhaps they knew all along and that's what gave them the campaign idea in the first place. Any way, the good guys drive Astons and the badies Jaguars.

Firstly Bond won't be able to keep up and secondly he'll be polluting the environment far more than the eco friendly villain. If you want to save the World Bond, get a hybrid.

Jag have done pretty well out of this, an awesome looking hyper car for the baddie and Bond in an Aston that looks like an F-Type, a car people can actually buy. Maybe Tata are planning to buy Aston after all wink

Is that the car that was supposed to have gas turbines? Then JLR paid Williams to develop a heavy boosted turbocharged 4 cylinder engine? And then JLR scrapped the project? So, two cars in a Bond film which no-one can buy as regular production cars...

If the Bond film does only have fantasy cars you can't buy I think it will fail - it may as well be power rangers or tron or some other futuristic film. You might not have an ejector seat or defibrillator in the glove box but you can buy a

The jag - looks good but if they tried to make it they'd have another xj220 on their hands. The badge is good but not that good.

Why have it in an Aston Thread,

should it not belong in the Jaguar Thread

Very wide of the mark on both counts IMO.

I don't think the detail on the cars matters one jot as for most people who watch them even the "buyable" cars aren't.

And that Jag is stonking. I would buy one in a heartbeat and I think many would - assuming it was exciting to drive.

Did you seriously just say that wink After we've had Astons with ejector seats, Lotus submarines, Jaguars with rockets and I do believe a disappearing Vanquish. hehe

The point is those previous cars were cars you could buy, but with special talents.. Seeing some unrealistic concept car that's not in production... Nah.

All manufacturers have a natural ceiling price.. A point above which people won't go. I think jag is probably 100-120k. I don't get the feeling that car is aimed that low. The same car with an Aston badge would sell.
