Should I buy a new DB9?

I also felt some of the inside was a bit low-budget looking.
You've got to be kidding! The Aston has a far more bespoke interior from both a design and quality of materials POV than practically any other car.Whilst nice and attractive and stylish, Aston's interior fit is by far the worst of the competition.

Looking at your current garage I doubt this is the car for you
Wot he said... and I can't see that you need to turn to the forum to be convinced... There's a good deal of buying with the heart in this (the head would go for something a little older to stave off depreciation) and I don't think you have the passion... Fair comment or have I misread this totally?!It never ceases to amaze me how many potential buyers come onto this forum and 'ask' to be convinced to buy an Aston and then continue to moan about this that and the other about them. Go look at one, try it, drive it, if it floats your boat BUY IT if it doesn't walk away - it's not for you....... Every owner on here gets it - if you don't then they are not for you.
OP, from your initial post, I really wouldn't bother as it seems like you have made your mind up already. It's not like you'd be trying a different bottle of wine which if you didn't like you could pour down the sink. This is a massive spend. I'd be surprised if any advice from here could change your mind, particularly with regard to the interior. If it's not floating your boat, don't do it. Seems pretty clear cut to me. Anyway, Bob's your man. I'd have his car in a heartbeat, but then again I'd cope with the 'sub standard' interior.
Unless you really want a new one, maybe buy a used Virage, in my book a car that's commonly overlooked and has the look of a db9.2. You can then sell it on if it doesn't fit into your life without breaking the bank. That said new car deals can be very tasty this close to the year end as I found out last year
I'm not sure what Jag others are suggesting you should buy instead as they don't do a competitor to the db9 anymore. Some people just like to hang around areas and say Jag or Porsche or Bentley without listening to the question. I think they are trolls but will probably now try and defend themselves.
And as for reliability...

I do understand that they may not be the most technologically advanced car in the world and other cars may drive better.
Technologically advanced?
Mercedes-Benz have spent squillions developing their latest sports car, the AMG GT. It has the following;
Chassis 'tub' fabricated from alloy extrusions, and castings.
Front mid-mounted engine.
Rear mounted gearbox connected to the engine by a torque tube.
A ideal way to obtain the perfect weight distribution, and also a lugage boot. From a company with such highly respected engineering, it must be the latest technological advance.
Funny that, the DB9 has exactly the same enginering features.
