Tyre advice please

So the good news is that I now know that my tyre pressure monitoring system works.
The bad news is that I know this because of this screw:
First question is whether or not people think the hole left in my tyre by this screw will be repairable in this position.
Second question is whether tyre repairs are advisable on cars of this level of performance.
Just want a few opinions before I ask someone with a vested interest on Monday.

Any sidewall repairs are not allowed. Looks to me like a repair would be possible assuming no inner sidewall damage as Mikey said. The repair should be done using a mushroom style patch that will fill the hole made by the screw so no worry about it leaving a hole in the tread and the patch will be cold vulcanised to the inside.
Yes, winters went back on a couple of weeks ago. My V8V is my only car and whilst 90% of my commuting is on my road bike there are times in winter when I just have to use the Aston whatever the road conditions so I figured winters were pretty essential really. Doesn't cost much to do as whilst you are using your winters your summers aren't wearing out.
