Not sure when this happened but recently.

Seems to be from an Aston Martin corporate point of view, if you look for dealers or used cars on the AM web-site it is clearly 'Aston Martin Newport Pagnell' in line with how all other dealers are named around the country. This is understandable in many ways but I would not have been at the choosing of Works themselves I am sure.

Aston Martin Works/Newport Pagnell themselves continue with 'Works' on both web-site and external classifieds.

Probably AM company communication policy. AM Cardiff is actually Stratstone but they still use the former...

Works implies they are integrated to AML and the factory
I'm guessing they can no longer do that as they aren't ?

That was how I figured it. I know other dealers did not like the fact they had some kind of kudos having that moniker

It would appear that Aston Martin Works Limited are 100% owned by AMWS Limited, which is a Jersey registered company.

Works is not owned by the factory, it has had a least two owners in the last ten years

Their web site still shows the Registered Office as in Gaydon (though I haven't looked on Companies House to check if correct). Is that just a coincidence? Seems unlikely. The structuring may be for tax or other purposes, but it hints at a link.

They have my car on SoR currently and they tell me they are now part of AML, the old Works branding will soon disappear.....

Have they bought it back then? It was was sold by the Private Equity owners once they loaded the company with debt and then the global down turn screwed their cash flow predictions.
