I've thought about it and I can't think of a single reason not to buy a DBS. Not one.

For that kind of money, you'll be able to get yourself an ultimate edition.

If I had the money, I would get a personally, but I'm a youth. However, I think the DBS is probably the better looking car. I've detailed god knows how many astons and still, if I see a DBS driving down the road, I just think wow! Keep a look out for a carbon black edition like Mr LOTTO's. He has a black grill on his too and it looks stunning.

Interesting to see the volantes are holding value better than the coupes as well
That's a bit weird!

Me too Mikey but at the end of the day if you get the car inspected and all is well you should be OK

Tom Hartley had a similar reputation years ago, now look at what they deal in cloud9

There's a tasty convertible one at Hagley which is also manual... I could be tempted myself
That is the one Clarkson did the Transfagaran Highway in (and allegedly slept in wink )
Its then went on to have some Kahn mods which have since been removed by the AM dealer
It was up for sale a few months ago and has now reappeared for some reason wink

If my wife gets here way it will be a coupe, but as a staunch TVR owner I have the roof off even with the weather it's like to day, (Cold but sunny) So I am still possibly looking for a Volante! I noticed a couple of people were a bit against them, apart from the lack of sunshine, is there another reason?
I'd stick to a Volante the Aston roof is VERY well insulated and as a result they are very quiet roof up, so wifey will feel like it is a coupe wink
But as you say its great to get it down at every chance you get, I've had roadsters for over 15 years now and the roof is down 99% of the time.
The down side is they don't look as pretty as the coupe, but for me they easily make up for it with the views, exhaust sound and smells.

oh go on then

Mr Tank...Andy...I had seriously thought about a DBS Ultimate but couldn't see me living with the quilted stitching. Looked at a couple with red and may possibly been tempted if I had found the right car but in grey stitch however I found it much too 'busy' especially the head lining obviously a personal taste thing - Mine is grey stitched front to rear with the lines about 2" apart.
Ended up with a 2012 Carbon Black Edition that was a pre-registered car (end of Sept '12) but didn't get PDI'ed and put on the road until end November 2012. Have gone from V8V to V12V to DBS and for me have now got an 'Ultimate Car' - Happy hunting biggrin

Totally agree with Mikey. My last two have been convertibles and the V12 exhaust noise is to die for. Was given a new Vanqush Coupe when mine went in for service a few weeks ago and was just amazed how quiet it was compared with my roadster. If it not being quite as beautiful as a coupe is not a problem the other benefits more than make up for it - and it is still a fantastic looking car. Oh, and as to only a few days when you can use it we have done 14k miles in ours in the last two years and the roof has been down at least 80% of the time biggrin Mind you, unless it is raining the roof is usually down!

yes There is an design flaw in the Aston rag tops frown
I used to drive my S2000 around ALL the time with the roof down, rain was not a problem.
It simply caught in the channels on the screen, ran along the side window and away behind you smile
Astons don't have this channel frown
So even light rain runs straight up the screen over the top and the ski slope becomes a water fall hehe

Coupe is so much better looking than the rag top.......its will also be quicker and handle better......you should be able to pick up a cracking low millage auto for less than 100k

The Silver Fox one. I believe one of only two RHD

Hagley had a new one in stock. In the showroom the colour looked like putty

Always liked Silver Fox in pics and want to see one in the flesh but you are not selling it to me smile

Not a fan of the red quilt interior either

Isn't there a guy on here with an earlier DBS in Silver Fox who posted a lot of pics. I'm sure outside it would look much better. Go have a look wink

I could have lived with the Silver Fox (some call me that!) interior but have to agree that red stitching would do my brain in!
