When I saw your photgraph David, I did wonder when I saw the KX registration, but I did not want to say anything. Many AML owned cars seem to have these letters.
Your dealer might have been correct saying "demonstrator", but probably it was not their demonstrator.
I would not worry. Many owners are heading for Cadwell to track their cars. They won't worry afterwards. Just enjoy. Our cars are built to cope with fast driving.

Perhaps a PM might have been more appropriate?
Yes I agree. Didn't really think about it. Again please accept my apologies! Although it's not like it's a secret, there are pictures of the car on the net and in the press.
It certainly wouldn't have put me off buying this car. It's been owned by Aston Martin and they will have brought the car in super condition before selling it on.
The only negative point here is the vendor's lack of information.
Nothing wrong with the car I should think.

KX ?
KX is the reg prefix for the Gaydon area so most KX cars are "factory" cars. I see loads around here. Your car is stunning and will have been looked after better than and brand new supplied garage queen that been to the main dealer a few times; factYou have two years warranty, what's to worry about?
My guess would be that someone like Evo would also treat the car with some respect from cold. Believe me I have seen plenty on here nail their cars from cold
Get on and enjoy it, oh and use this latest revelation to get your next service for nowt
Stunning car. I wouldn't worry about a few laps round a track. That's what it was built to do now and again. Chances are the sales guy had no idea, and as long as it's mint and you have that warranty, then congratulate yourself for being able to own such a brilliant car and get driving!
I've had two 'demonstrator' Astons now. Both with a couple of thousand miles on the clock, and the second one specifically, didn't have a single mark on it inside or out. Pretty much how I would have specced it and a huge saving in percentage terms over new. Have they been thrashed? Maybe a bit, probably not from cold given the test route the dealer uses, and I have the remainder of the warranty time to uncover any issues.
Roll on the first track day I'm able to do.
Post some more pics when you get the chance.

No apology necessary in fact i appreciate the heads up it is as you say in the public domain should you wish to look.Although it's not like it's a secret, there are pictures of the car on the net and in the press.

Just feel a little deceived should i do anything about it i dont know?
Tell the garage how you feel and as Nick says there might just be a free service in it!
I'm sure the car is fine, as others have said just go and enjoy it. Most of us don't know how our purchased second hand cars have been driven before we buy them. You have warranty and purchased from the AM network so no worries...

Maybe tell them you should have been informed.
My father bought a Porsche Carrera 2.7RS back in the 70's and he discovered later the car had been raced (rally), it's been the best car he has ever owned and the best investment (car wise) he made! Enjoy the car. In fact when I posted I didn't see it as a negative point, just that the car is well known and ex-Aston Martin press car.
Maybe you could have the car checked by Works for full peace of mind. They will be in a position to give you the car's full history as well.

Just to add and I hope this doesn't come back to bite me on the arse;
I have had my DBS for over two years now and circa 14k miles. Most of those miles have either been on hoons organised on here inc the trip to JLC in Switzerland and several organised by Molly in Wales. I have done Le Mans with a dozen others. Two track days. All trips have involved some fairly spirited driving. I can't begin to imagine the collective mileage, it's one hell of a lot. With the exception of consumables every car has performed without a single failure although one old V8 did need a hammer blow to the fuel pump once
Not sure how many brands could boast a similar stat, they are pretty solid bits of kit

There are a few out there like this, the odds made worse by the relatively few cars in existence Hagley have a DBS used by Topgear on one of their specials, and there are probably plenty of cars used by ham fisted drivers on the PDC days.
The cars are tough, you have warranty. I think it's the dealer spinning a yarn on its history that just proves they're basically liars and then you have to question everything else they've said.
OP I'd make sure you get EVERYTHING written down as part of the deal. I had to produce evidence to Wilmslow that they'd included 3 years servicing in my deal as they couldn't find any proof when the time came. Sounds obvious but amazing how 2 years warranty could get forgotten in your case.

As the others have said I'd not worry about it.
What I will say is... get in writing that you have a 2 year warranty... When I bought my V8V from SS I was promised the same, after the first year I got a call asking if I'd like to extend... they then denied the whole 2 year conversation.
I had paid for the big annual service before this call and was planning on selling the car with 10 months warranty remaining privately and getting the V12. As a result, I purchased my V12 from elsewhere but they certainly cost me a few quid more than I should have had to fork out... the result is, they've lost me as a customer.

My car has a KV reg and was owned by the factory for the first six months of it's life. I'm not bothered as it will have been looked after properly and chacked regulary. And of course it came with a warranty.
Dan Trent wrote a piece recently about the C63 that he had on loan and the fact that it is now for sale at a franchised dealer. His conclusion is that an ex-press/marketing car is a good buy.
Your V12 looks fantastic, definately on my most wanted list!
