At those prices, it's a no-brainer.
I've dropped cav.mar1 a message to ask if he'll do sets of 2007 V8V jacking pads, and alerting him to the dialogue here.
Good call please keep us all in the picture how you get on :-) I've dropped cav.mar1 a message to ask if he'll do sets of 2007 V8V jacking pads, and alerting him to the dialogue here.
"Thanks for your note and link; much appreciated.
I do make 50+ different types of Jacking pads but not currently for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage.
I am more than happy though to look at making some for you but would need some dimensions etc.
The overall starting size of the blank rubber pads is 75mm dia.
I have found a set that I believe would be easiest to produce if you can provide the sizes?
Thanks

He sent a pic with the dimensions he requires, but it refuses to upload.
If anyone feels they can take this further, particularly in relation to a 2007 V8V, please email me and I'll send it as an attachment.

Hello Everyone, New to this forum but thought I should mention that I too am in touch with someone who has expressed an interest in making rubber jacking pads for my 2007 V8 Vantage.
Just about to send off drawings and photos for his review. If interested I can report back as soon as I hear anything.
Cheers, David

My solution is to mill a slot in the side of a hockey puck. The slot then fits over the underbody cover. This allows the puck to sit flush to the aluminium jacking point and also holds the puck in position prior to the jack or lift being put in place.
Inspired by your hockey puck solution I now have done four jack stand pads. DB9 MY09. 9 hockey pucks. Two to each jack stand and one to get the round plugs from.
4 M6 T-nuts.
4 M6 screws.
14 gypsum screws or similar.

Tools: Arch file, leaf saw, 22mm hole saw with inner dimensions 18mm, 20mm wooden drill bit, 5mm drill bit.
