Many many congrats

Probably takes a fellow V12vr owner to understand why that car will never be sold !
Thanks Jonby. There is no way we would ever part with the V12VR. Just been to see the new one have its travel wrap taken off and it really is a thing of stunning beauty. Really pleased with our various choices yes

Due to various commitments we cannot pick her up until next Friday but having seen her today it will be well worth the wait. Just hope the weather is as good as today.

It's alright I suppose if you like that sort of thing biggrin

Is that orange on the paddles and seats/trim? Is that meant to be a Gulf Oil colour scheme? If so, is that a factory choice or your own? Very nice either way!

Let's hope the weather is as good next weekend for your collection.

7 sleeps to go...

hehe all our own choice, well Mrs P's mainly, and yes there was a bit of a gulf theme going on. At one time it nearly had orange lipstick and grill but we chickened out of that. We went in expecting to ask for Madagascar Orange accents and stitching but the samples looked far more like tan - and then Lloyd suggested we consider California Poppy and we think it looks fantastic.

I don't know about you but we always worry about what the final car will look like and are really pleased with the outcome. Most factory specced cars have blue accents but the Mako Blue press car looks like it has the CP accents.

Nothing to worry about there!!!
Lovely colour combo. Makes a special car even more so.

Subtle colour scheme... if you know, you know (if you know what I mean)...top choice IMO.

Many sunny days of driving to be had there.

The question is: where and when will we see and hear it???

Ed has just come out of his post Burghley slumber. What a lovely day - Spitfires, nice people, sunshine, a castle and a few Astons and Ed in his hi viz jacket! I still enjoy the YouTube videos of that day!

Tony is still cruising around London in his erm 'magnet' teasing us about Hever.

Aston is 102 this year, nothing special from them this year except a Vulcan (and then Spock went and died!), a GT3 and a £750,000 saloon!

Rob is 43 but has bought a GT3 and Molly doesn't seem to go to Wales anymore! Lovely weekend that...I hope that they haven't ditched us and invited a load of Germans to Wales this year!!! biggrin

Bob is treating us to Cadwell in March though...

The year is young yet....

Stunning.

You could always try a vinyl lipstick/accents when you want to spruce the exterior up.

I'm around Exeter frequently, will keep an eye out.

Congratulations, your car looks great! I'd be very interested to know how it compares to your other Roadster. Also I know you are keeping both but let's say you would HAVE to choose only one, which one would you keep? There's talk of the V12VS becoming available with a manual gearbox. That and a traditional Aston grille would be the perfect combo for me.

Think that would be an easy decision in the end. The V12VR - there are only 101 (ish) V12 and manual. Hopefully will never be in the position to have to make the choice but that is the way it would go I think confused

Lots of stuff planned and will be at quite a few AMOC events. Bonhams Auction, Spring Concours, 80th AMOC anniversary at Sandhurst, Powderham Castle, foreign tour to Spain and South of France - and loads of other stuff as well. It's going to be a GOOD summer for sure!

Fantastic choice and enjoy your new car.
Interesting your comment "Mrs P's mainly"
Mrs P isn't called Charlotte by any chance
"Key to the strategy is to target "Charlotte". She's a rich American female in her late 30s. "She's a cool lady, she's an attractive lady," Mr Palmer said."

I am hoping to be at one of the summer events you mention and would like to see the V12VRS in the flesh

Aston Martin / Dr Palmer take note of the above.

As per last week, Astons on 5th Gear...this time your chosen new steed smile against a 911 Turbo Cabrio.

Apart from looking the part, the V12S convertible basically matches the 911 around the track. Damp track as well, which should favour the 911 4WD system.

That takes me back to ordering our first roadster! Not been able to collect the new one yet for various reasons and looks like we will have a very busy Saturday when we collect the new one, drop off our current roadster for a new CF centre stack to be fitted and then go on holiday! Days like that don't happen very often smile

Rob - 43?! I wish! We still get out to play in Wales - particularly nice trip that way coming up soon actually (even involving a couple of Astons!). No Welsh Weekender planned - yet. Epic Scottish trip next month before deciding if WW4 is on or not for this summer. Got to suss out ze germans while we are in Scotland with them and see if we want to let them in on what goes on in Wales. IF we go for it then probably a mix of Astons and Porsches and probably not posted on the forums. Should it happen then we would love to have you along so perhaps you would like to email me just to let me know the dates you can't do in June/July wavey

PS Congratulations on the car Ian - it looks great!

Hi Ian, I hope you have been able to enjoy the new car a little. How does it compare with your manual V12R?
