Hi, I have a 2010MY vantage with iPod connectivity and bluetooth. I also have an iPhone 5 that I would like to use in the car. It connects via bluetooth no problem with all the phone functions working. I've bought an official Apple connector to allow it to plug into the iPod lead in the centre armrest, and here's where the problem seems to be.

It connects just fine and I can access the music via the stereo, however, the phone doesn't charge.

If I switch to the usb connection the phone charges but obviously I loose music connectivity, not ideal to be switching between the 2 leads mid journey.
Does anyone else have this problem? or a solution?

Cheers

I have exactly the same problem.

I bought an ipod and leave it in the car, and just take it in to refresh the music when I buy some.

IIRC JCT put in a Gen II kit in my DB9 which gave me everything without the need for any adaptors. It wasn't expensive and I still have the invoice at home if you need part numbers etc smile

Same issue here. It did charge on the lightning connector until IOS7 came along so I can only assume its Apple shutting off that feature

Gen II kit could be the way forward, could you supply part numbers please Jockman. Unless I find a nice cheap old skool iPod at Cash Converters wink
