Thanks Jonny. Yes, alloy body, fitted with the final 4.0 litre version of the Tadek Marek straight 6 engine.
Maybe I need to tap up Andrew for a little bit of commission. wink

The car is going to be awesome. Please contact me when you come up to collect it. I will be there to wave you off. bow

My g*d,,,,okay, okay, okay,,,that little guessing game didn't last very long did it! No wonder really of course, the depth of knowledge of all things Aston Martin on this forum I venture to suggest is on a global scale surpassed by only one other center of Aston-ishment, that being our friends over on the AMOC site.

Jonny, Tony, Ed, you each got it in one, well done. Graham, your attention to detail syndrome I can now see does have its advantages (scary). Jon69, again, spot on, the reg plate for my DBR Le Mans car is MO55 DBR,,,which unbelievably I bought off the DVLA site only last summer. yes

Just a reminder that at the ASM open day is this coming Sunday 26th, apart from being a great opportunity to view the current build projects, it is important to mention that it is held in hopes of raising funds for East Anglian Children's Hospice. Also free BBQ and refreshments. thumbup

Looking good Bob. Nice to see Webers on the engine. It will sound fantastic! Do you have a completion date?

I see there's no improvement with the insomnia then Graham. wink

Webers, yes, Andrew is suggesting we fit injectors to them and also electronic ignition. Does that make a difference to the sound, I've no idea?

Completion date I do not have, my guess, April 2016.

If that is a picture of your actual evening meal Jockers, it looks delicious, so nicely presented too, congratulations. Just a slight concern that before you ate it, you took a photo of it. scratchchin

Bob that isn't the actual one - but it looked like it had a bit of moss on it so I deemed it on-topic for this thread smile

Vegetable pilau shared with Karen.

I prefer mushroom pilau but they tend nowadays to put the tinned ones in and they're a bit rubbery yes

Why do you have them in separate containers? Surely it's better mixed together?

Also it's all about keema rice!

This is a long shot but maybe someone can help; In my efforts to try to achieve the best external features match possible to the DBR1 #7 driven by Stirling in the 1958 RAC TT at Goodwood, I am in need of 4 of these bonnet latches,,,,I'm struggling to find any. I have someone that would make them for me but we need to borrow an original for a pattern. I've tried Chris Woodgate but he can't help at the moment.

Any ideas welcome. bow

I'm sure you're in contact with the AMOC and Heritage Trust people Bob and also the likes of Pugsley and Lewis....?

I like your attention to detail. How is it all coming along?

I never imagined it would be easy to hunt out parts for a race car from the 50's but then, although frustrating, that's where part of the fun is. For these latches my guess is I'll never find an original but hopefully someone will loan me one for a pattern. Externally, the car I'm hoping to recreate is this one:
