Bravo, great write up of a great weekend. Thanks to all for the company which was excellent, the route which was excellent, the accommodation and food which was excellent and the chance to experience the vanquish on excellent roads. A big thanks to those who put in some great work in organising the elements that made it that extra bit special. That friends, was a blast.
It's great to read that you all had such a good time enjoying our Scottish roads!
It was my parents in the DB6 and I was meant to be there in my Vanquish but was hit with the cold on Friday so Saturday morning driving would have been impossible without an IV of lemsip and a fresh supply of hot water bottles for my aching back as well as someone to pass the tissues!
My father was pleased to report that heating did actually come back to the car about 12 miles from home...it's a shame the first 70 odd miles were done without the heater! He did say they almost swithered as to go home and swap out for the V12V as they followed the River Dee to meet you all at Braemar when they passed through a section of forest that the sun never gets to. The windscreen immediately fogged both inside and out and it wasn't until they emerged from the forest into the sun that it cleared. They were told by the others in the group that the temp dropped to -2 at that point. Brrrrrrrrr.
I was really sorry to miss you all. The roads you took are some of my favorites and I know them very well. There's hardly a better road to drive than the one from Ballater (over that wee humpback bridge pictured)to Grantown very early on a summer morning. I'm delighted that you got to see the road in sunlight rather than gloom!
Hopefully you can make it back and I can join you next time.

NIP in the post this morning for 82 mph on the M74
That talivan must have been busy that day
Wow they haven't hung about, I think I have been done too at considerably greater speed, but no NIP as yet. That talivan must have been busy that day
Mine was the van sat over the bridge on the M74.
Buggers aren't they, I have been clean for 18 years since last speeding fine, so I am due something! Like you say Mikey, 20 years clean, its bound to happen sometime.
Horts
