vanq2 ownership
Discussion
I want to go in with my eyes open. Despite being told that F430s are "bulletproof", I've discovered to my great cost that the suspension parts are made of water soluble chocolate. Still a great car but was surprised.
Anybody have a view on a 2 year old Vanquish II? Are there bits that might need routine maintenance beyond the usual tyres, pads, spark plugs, oil etc? Any weaknesses emerging? I appreciate they're still quite new and that there aren't many out there (I just love that fact), so this might be a long shot!!

Is the suspension problem related to magnetically controlled dampers? I heard there's a wear issue?
I am not an owner, but have done a lot of mileage in the Vanquish, mainly on track. From my perspective, they are bombproof. The adaptive damping is Bilstein, using traditional adjustably valved dampers. Transmission from ZF. Huge CCM brakes from Brembo. Engine originally designed and built by Cosworth, now in house with variable valve timing. Bosch management. Only the best available components are used.
Hope this helps.

That does help roughrider - thank you.
The suspension I was referring to was on my f430, not sure if you thought I nesbt vanquish. Ferraris I guess are still a bit delicate in parts. Excited about possibly getting a vanquish, just don't want to get advisories longer then both arms every time she comes out of an annual service!

Yes, the F430 had "Magnaride" damping as an option, i believe? The suspension I was referring to was on my f430, not sure if you thought I nesbt vanquish.
