Certainly looks good and FAMSH. Just not sure about S/S. Like the idea and worked well with paddles but didn't feel too responsive in Comfort mode.
I need to drive a manual version to compare.
This will be the reason IMO
Owners don't gell with the sport shift very well and when spending 50k + they move on.
I was the 6th owner of my SS and when I researched it they were all short ownerships.
Comfort mode on ASM1 and D mode on ASM2 are a COMPLETE waste of time
It's not that peps don't gel they just don't understand it
It's a manual with a robotic clutch
Teach the robot where the bite point is regularly (clutch learn at start up), NEVER use Comfort and lift slightly on up shifts and it gets a LOT better.
Still doesn't get round the stupid reverse gearing (still the same on current manuals wink ), no hill hold and "creep" mode that hobble ASM1 . All sorted on ASM2 & 3 which are much better.

My 2009 V12 had one owner for 4.5 years before I took her on. My previous V8 was 2009 and I was 4th, only had it for 18 months.

Thanks Sooty,
So how did you find the move from Porsche to Aston? My older and possibly wiser son thinks a C4S would fit the bill but my heart is set on an Aston. Looking forward to becoming a fickle petrolhead smile
Welcome steviebee and a lovely car you have purchased (I read your other thread).

Has your son been in your Aston yet and seen the error of his ways? hehe

I was the 6th owner of my 2005 V8V which I only kept for 18 months. So I assume it's now on it's 7th in 10 years. The previous owner to me only kept it for about 3 months, so lots of owners, some for very short periods was certainly true with mine.

As to why they get a lot of owners of course is a different question. I know what I only kept it 18 months but I doubt many other's felt the same way.

We have a DB9 that's just coming up 10 years old and we are the 3rd owners and 39K mileage, we've had it 3 years now. I never use auto, just the paddles. A bit more info...., in that time we have had, 1 replacement battery, set of plugs and coils and a set of hand brake pads (as the pad material actually fell off the back plate !!) and the annual service/mot at Harwoods. Hope you have as much fun as we do in ours.

i thought it might have 5 previous owners on the V5 which would make you the 7th owner........it's a lot of owners even if your the 6th ......it would set alarm bells ringing for me ........good luck with your hunt for the right car

2005 plate, 2006 made v8 Vantage.

Im the 3rd owner, had it two years, first owner kept a year or so, I bought from the second owner. Great car.

As to what to move to next? Tough choice, I've done the Porsche, will probably return to a 911 when I have a child, otherwise it will be a v12 or maybe a Morgan Aero 8 I think.
