A friend of mine has been told about a DB7 for sale. It has a head gasket failure and had the top end stripped, then the owner forgot about it for 3 years so it's been sitting under a (decent) tarpauilin for 2 years. I gather it wasn't the best example even before the head gasket went but the owner is thinking of selling. What's it worth as is?

It's a 1996 3.2 Auto coupe from what I gather.

You are probably better asking on the AMOC forum, where there is a big DB7 community ....

In fairness the question is a bit "how long is a piece of string"

There are a few for sale for £20k on AT so that sets top money for it running.

It needs work and a bit of a punt that its a runner when put back together which if all else was OK would knock a min of 5k off the price to me.

And it is a punt and not the best example as you say so you could be looking a big bills dropping it 4k

Its effectively not much different to a barn find.

Without pictures of the interior, and even then you'd want to look at the mechanicals its a wild punt.

Edd China could probably fix it all for a grand though including a new set of tyres all round smile

Thanks guys, I think he's going to skip on it for while the interior and body seem tidy, mechanically it's shagged and probably as someone said, better breaking for spares.

No it's not in London.
