Db9 Fuel Cap not releasing - Solution

If you press the fuel cap button and hear a noise but nothing happens then do the following.

Remove the weather seal in the boot, remove the left carpet cover above the fuse box, remove the carpet on the left side of the boot and disconnect the light.

Look up and you will see your emergency release cable, you may find that it has come unhooked from the solenoid that controls that cable to release the fuel cap.

Just push it back on and sorted Only 5 minutes work.

And if that doesn't work use a credit card to gently prise the flap open while someone operates th release button. They sometimes stick even though the latch has actually released.
