Discussion
Great day and probably 100's of Aston Martins, did not take may photos but here are two, also got a chance to drive a DB6 MK2 great fun and fast
Some one was flying a drone, would be interested in seeing what photos they got.

Saw a DB6 Volante driving past my flat this morning so figured something was going on.
The event was a very nice surprise considering I had a lazy Sunday of cleaning planned otherwise!
Some fantastic cars there from all eras.
Highlight for me probably a DB4 GT Zagato and 3x DB5/6s heading through Woburn village together; a nice £2 million quid plus convoy!
I took several hundred photos so will post during the week when I get through editing them all

What a fantastic weekend darn sarf!
Bonhams then the AMOC Concours.
Spectacular cars of all ages.
Congrats to Ian for winning a trophy with his Mako V12V! It looked superb.
These Makos are darn rare you know. I wonder if one will go under the Bonhams hammer in 30-50 years time for £1M or so!!

The only downer on the day was paying forty quid to effectively, park a car. I know the club needs to make money in order to sustain its existence and put this kind of event on, but there's a fine line between feeling I've made a valued contribution and feelin that I've just been ripped off.
Rant over - back to the pics. All typically very English.....

I think the organising committee will have a lot to digest from this event. I do think someone needs to think about pricing and I think the numbers attending caught the event organisers out completely. When I spoke to someone at the Club late last week about something else I was told around 200 Astons were expected but it was announced on the day that 350 had attended. Now - that makes catering for champagne and food a little complicated. Not helped by someone telling me that the cafe didn't know there was a special event on that day!!!!
Mind you - if they had known 350 cars were going to attend perhaps the pricing would have been different (and not higher before anyone suggests that).
We attended the auction, the International Dinner and the Concours and thought it was yet another thing we had done with the Aston where the memories will live with us for a very long time. Oh, we also did a PDC at Millbrook on Friday which made it even more special. I think this is what makes owning an Aston a very special thing! Just love it!

Having run Charity events on a large scale in the past, I'm not sure if it's the same set up with these AMOC thingies but the higher the concessions negotiated by the organisers from the stall holders, then the higher the prices to the attendees.
I remember many moons ago attaining £150 per hot dog van on site which was higher than anyone else had ever achieved and I was chuffed with myself. I spent the entire day being lambasted by Joe Public over the hot dog vans charging £3 for a roll and £1 for a can of coke

So that explains the enormous queue for the cafe with two people serving.
Never mind, that is pretty insignificant compared to the pleasure me and my son got from the day.
As usual, all owners very polite to complete strangers and keen to talk about their beautiful cars.
Brilliant day, well done all, saving up for the next one
