Anyone buy extended warranty? The car is just out of warranty but one previous owner. Assuming PPI checks out clean, is it still worth paying close to $4000 annually for extended warranty? What does that cover?

Do most of you opt for extended warranty? Those that have not, what did you buy and what have you spent out of pocket?

Hi lots on here about warranty and it boils down to your attitude to risk.
I have not had extended warranty, this is my 6th year of ownership, I'm well in pocket as the things that have gone wrong with it would not have been covered.

Other people may have a different view, like I said its down to your own approach.

steve, but you purchased your car new right?
I meant people buying second hand cars. I guess it is all a toss up. I have heard that typically the newer AM are reliable....2009+

As Steve said it depends on your attitude.

I bought a 2007 Vantage Roadster second hand privately. I'm pretty risk adverse so made sure the car had an extended warranty included, when this expired I renewed it for peace of mind - it is a lot of money though.

There is no right or wrong answer.

bought mine used on 2007, have not had a warranty since 2009...glad Ive saved thousands every year

its done 70K miles now and been very reliable, just a few known issues appeared and fixed for loads less than the cost of a warranty each year

there are many threads with the details of everyone on here experience

I've had extended Premium warranty for the last three years now.
There hasn't been enough gone wrong to cover the cost of the warranty up until this year when one headlight went duff in the V8V and the sat nav in the DBS went tuts up.
Other than that, minor stuff.
I can afford the warranties, so I have peace of mind. I don't measure it in purely fiscal units.
