I'd never seen this before, but I think it's really cool and does a great job of relating how Aston Martin engineers translated the design brief for the DB9 into reality.

"Additional high speed vehicle testing was performed to validate the transaxle assembly which consisted of
10,000 km at maximum engine speed in both 5 th and 6th gear. This 13 day test was performed at the Nardo
facility in Italy and involved re-fuelling and driver changes every 45 minutes during which 987 gallons of
fuel were consumed. The end result was a 6-speed automatic transaxle assembly that was proven to be durable for 150,000 miles that could meet all of the targets specified"
